Oil and Gas will be getting used for a few decades as we transit - not sure there's any viable alternative to produce large amounts of plastic other than from oil even when we reduce their use in providing fuels/heat etc (some of the experts on here maybe able to advise on that - although, regardless, we should try and use as little plastic as possible!). Even when we reduce their use in providing fuels/heat etc . and there wasn't the environmental issues....oil/gas are FINITE resources - we have to use alternatives at some stage anyway. The "end oil" nuts need to be kicked back to their middle-class Mummy's and Daddy's and told to fk right off. We need a grown up debate globally of how we use Oil/Gas effectively as we wean ourselves off it - but we have no alternative but to use it for a long time yet.

Fascinating reading virtually everyone on here basically opposing the science the world leading EXPERTS in this field have dissected to the nth degree - i think we should put a paper together explaining to these experts where they've got it all wrong and Facey etc has got it right.

Having only attended one AGM - I've said previously Moody's attitude (arrogant) was nothing short of disgusting. So, in view of everything you've listed - why aren't we c.100p?
In fact - if we are "90% of being developed" ie. we're within touching distance of producing oil at c.$100 bbl making c.$40 profit bbl - i'd expect us to be nearer £3-4 than 8p.
