The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
The conundrum would surely be:
If we got even c.£50m that should move us to c.20p. IF...big if, HBR wanted to TO RKH they are confirming they are going to develop over a minimum of 1billion bbl. That would be worth far more than a further 20p premium?
Who knows?
I agree Phil, they won't and it should be the first place they go.
Agreed...surely news has to be at hand???
You don't even understand English.
Ralph:
You've got the nerve to mouth off on here about crying...fking dhead, you've been squealing for years on here like a teenage tart.
Fudd is correct...end of.
At no point has he suggested we stop using oil tomorrow, yet numerous posters keep on rolling out this binary mindset ie. You acknowledge global warmer, you want something doing about it...so therefore you think oil usage has to stop immediately.
Bizarre.
No-one has advocated the above.
Only a moron would state they and some random nugget on Facey think global warming is a myth or even when they do acknowledge it, come out with the..."but we're not doing anything til China does"! (Although huge pressure needs to be used to persuade China/US/India to address their massive use of resources).
Adored...they'll (rightly) build a statue of him when he retires.
Can't wait to get into town on Saturday with the lads for the game - and then getting in the ground the following Saturday. Heaven.
Soft lad:
"weaklings"....you mean like some f@nny who's made a shed load of money - yet moans like a tart cos they've lost a few bob since - that kind of weakling?
Bobo:
The footie season starts for me when the Redmen walk out on the pitch lad...but fair point.
Regarding the investing here and being concerned about global warming:
I don't see it being contradictory at all (see my binary comments below).
I've stated a number of times - oil will be needed as a source of energy for 30/40 years, we just need to wean ourselves off it over that period. I hold RDSB/BP who both straddle oil/reusables and SSE who are going to be world leaders in green energy.
Coal/methane from animals needs addressing quicker than that. Though that doesn't mean we have to stop eating meat either - just maybe eating a little less and farm it in a way that is less damaging to the environment.
Seriously - i don't know why everyone in the modern world has to be so binary - just because i understand the planet is warming and we need to address that doesn't mean i'm some environmental loon demanding we change our way of life entirely tomorrow.
"Your stance on climate change and looking after your grandchildren but invest here" - Why not?
"Heck even I remember the crisp winters the UK used to get with a visit from Jack Frost for a few months. Now the winters are just damp and wet."!!!!!!!
FFS!!! i wonder what is causing that? (I'm doing my best not to comment on this anymore - but some of the nonsense being posted makes it impossible - thank God the footie season is starting on Saturday!)
"alarmist posts" - what alarmist posts? stating facts is alarmist?
"Well, Florida averages around 45 inches of rainfall so they probably wouldn't notice another couple of inches anyway." - is this for real - even at an attempt to be witty - it's ridiculous?
"The idea that the human race is about to become extinct due to human created global warming is utter bs" - show me ONE serious climatologist stating that?
Too many posters on here clearly don't understand the difference between "weather" and "climate".
For Fk sake...seen it all now! The God complex of modern people (and especially when dealing with their wonderful, beautiful, fantastic children) knows no bounds.
Now they are being quoted as gospel...to trump the WORLD.LEADING.......climatologists!!!!
So believe the child over the 200 scientific experts? eeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - that's a hard one.
The facts are there - end of.
If you're too selfish to change your life by one iota to improve your children/grandchildren and future generations chances of living on a planet that isn't dealing with extreme stresses - that's up to you. Just own up to it and don't try and justify it with nonsense.
In view of the ****e being spouted on this subject - i'm just concentrating on RKH going forward.
Fudd! NNNNOOOOO! Ignore the world leading experts in Climatology and believe some crank on YouTube...and people are ticking such nonsense up. Embarrassing.
Cubane:
I agree with most of your post - some of medias reaction to the scientists findings will be dramatic (that's how the modern world likes to receive their news)....but the science is irrefutable.
I'm not advocating we change our lifestyles completely overnight - but we need to modify our use of energy across the globe.
Modern people are so lazy their misuse of our resources definitely needs changing.
Hello Mike:
OK...let's not assume anything - let's deal in facts.
1. the planet is warming
2. Man's use of fossil fuels is having SOME effect regarding the above (the "what if" scenario could easily be used the other way around - but that would be as silly as your contention - so i won't use it) - enough for the World LEADING experts in the field to advise strongly we address this issue.
Do you have a qualification/background in Climatology ?
I don't - so rely on the World leading climatologists for my understanding in this area.
I think you'll find it is 72% of emissions made by overall electricity production, so probably 5% of coal fired stations are producing that. Energy makes up c.30% of overall emissions...so it is still a sizable amount and DOES need addressing.
I've stated my position before, the planet is heating (fact) and we are having SOME effect so we have no choice other than to go green asap.
However - that "asap" will take a few decades and we will need oil during and after that transition. Need to get away from coal even quicker.
I'm in RKH til the end...let's hope that is soon, but at many multiples of today's sp!

"Very interesting article last week stating 72% of worlds carbon emissions come from only 10 coal fired power stations ."!!!!!!!!.....i have now seen it all!
In view you've whined on here like a tart for years...and you have stated clearly this company has no future, IF we get a good award AND there is a spike in the sp - you have no choice other than sell.
If you don't...you'll be shown up as a fraud as well as a f@nny.
