Quite right Bruce. I think it was also done pre war ww1 by the Aussies too. The whole fuss over body line was stuff and nonsense, analysis has shown Larwood was bowling bouncers at 89/90mph. So slightly quicker than Stuart broad but slower than Archer. He was also only 5 6 so far easier to play than a taller quick. The whole fuss by the Aussies was absurd and given the barrage by lily and thomo in the 70s (which the Aussies lapped up) utterly hypocritical. Douglas Jardine was a great man who bought a professional approach to a hopelessly amateur sport, brain dead idiots like plum Warner were the remainers of their day (let's play the gent and lose).
