That's the Copenhagen interpretation, there is a deterministic one which postulates pilot waves. Personally I think the universe is deterministic. Neither can be proven as both are interpretations of QM.

Mick shrodingers cat appears absolute nonsense and is actually only a theoretical interpretation of QM. The Copenhagen interpretation is completely unevidenced and fits poorly with the world we observe. Deterministic quantum mechanics using pilot waves appears a far better explanation. There is no more evidence to support the Copenhagen interpretation over the deterministic one, both produce the same result experimentally.
