Let's face it running a bank isn't a hard thing to do. I'm not socialist even at all but the level of reward at the top should be linked to the median salary. A ratio of say 30/40 times median earnings should be the maximum by law where the business is not owned by the CEO.

Bruce the level of dilution with staff awards at Lloyds is absurd. They are diluting shareholders around 0.8% a year with bonus for average performance. Which means in a decade the staff take around 10% of the company off shareholders.

Agree Bruce there are a lot of small bottlenecks in UK infrastructure where the billions being wasted on HS2 could be very well spent. The inspiration for HS2 comes straight China where endless bullets trains have been built. It might make sense there since it's a vast place. It's a tragic indictment of our civil service and their mindless stupidity that they seek to emulate the Chinese Communist party.
