The trading update on Tuesday and purchases of shares by two directors has not stemmed the retrace of the share price from the positive upwards move.

This crystallises the situation. Is the growing business of Audioboom going to win over on the manipulation of the share price.

It seems that no matter how much the company continue to report record figures and new contracts whilst proving in the Triton Ranking that the company is growing faster than competitors there is an underlying move literally destroy the underlying value.

Today’s RNS has finally flushed out those who have no interest in Audioboom apart from trying to do harm to the value of the company.

Zak and Aldebaran have shown their true motives on this board.

The next test is to see how the AIM market works. Management will be the most interested as it will be the deciding factor on whether to take corporate action.

If trading isn’t positive after immensely positive news on the growth in revenue and profit then there is absolutely no point being here.

A lot more than us WWK. He is non exec Chairman so no management role, but he knows everything and has his hand on the pulse.

I’m sure there will be further news releases which will turn this price up and in anticipation it could be rather quickly.

There was the GBP3 cash element. Forgot that ! Both elements of the « offer » were illusionary, derisory and unacceptable to directors so the offer was withdrawn.

Bearhunt3r, anything which can be thrown into the market place to undermine is being done. There is nil possibility of this going private. The majority vote needed would never be achieved. AAA tried a hostile move like this at GBP9 a couple of years ago and was summarily dismissed

The company improves on all fronts and management is keeping shareholders updated in a clear fashion. EBITDA is reported by PodcastOne on Nasdaq. It’s another metric for investors to gauge the performance of a company. Audited figures are readily available. Any contrary comment on this quite outstanding performance for the two months so far in Q3 is blatant misinterpreting.

Stuart Last announces that he’s « extremely «  optimistic for Q4.

Management may have released this excellent trading update a month in advance of Q3 results on 15 th October because it wants to test the true market on AIM. If sustained improvement in share price doesn’t come from these results then management will have to make some drastic corporate action. Directors don’t want to wait until 15th October. Decisions have to be made now in the run up.

Losingless you’ve been around awhile and sometimes reference the Proctor days. That’s years ago and a different era. The company has stormed ahead and management have proved to be professional and leading the business. The trouble is that there are still some who harbour bad feelings going back 10 years and 5 years. I hope the current management manage to finally shake off the past with some good Q3 figures and perhaps firm plans for the future of Audioboom

The entire market is bathed in red today.

Personally I’m relaxed at Audioboom’s price. Minimal shares are being traded. Some are selling small amounts because they need the money. The balance of sales maybe traders getting excited at being able to drop the price based on a few thousand sells. Some buyers getting in on the drop. That’s how I perceive the situation.

All this will change quickly and drastically and a true value realised when evaluation process is announced.

Bearhunt3r these posters are here to stay unfortunately. They are not interested in the business of the company one tiny smidgen. As you say they disseminate the same mantra. We know the price. And we know why it’s not realistic. It’s the broken AIM market. I’ve just posted comparative valuations for two other public podcasting companies. One in USA the other Sweden. Arguably Audiboom is stronger and better placed than either of these competitors but the AIM market deems it should be valued 50% or 75% lower. Quite ridiculous.

Guidance from management has been that FY24 forecast is well on track. If the forecasted revenue or profit is re forecasted to be up by 10% then a trading update has to be made. I believe that’s the rule. Results for Q3 are due perhaps around 16th October like last year.

Nothing is certain but Audioboom could go onto new market and double its value immediately. Whether this is the right move the directors will decide and out to a shareholders vote. Or a merger or sale at a minimum of double current price.

The directors and management have to maximise shareholder value and this isn’t being achieved under present conditions on AIM.

As we know Audioboom has a current market cap of USD 48m (GBP35m) with revenue for this year forecast of GBP78m.

PodcastOne price is just below I x annual revenue, ACAST x1.6, and Audioboom just over 0.6.

If there is corporate activity in industry consolidation then Audiboom is well placed. It is US focused with a strong position. Major competitors are ACAST which is more Europe and Asia, and PodcastOne which is also US based.

PodcastOne is quoted on NASDAQ with a market cap of USD38m and revenue last financial year of around USD40m.

ACAST has a market cap of usd 290m on revenue of usd 175m

The volume traded tells it all. The price can move on a few thousand. New investors may see the opportunity of getting involved in an media sector which is exciting and becoming more more used. But wary at the moment of the lack of liquidity and sense in the market of these shares. That’s why the end game here is a sale or relisting. We know that and the directors have stated that this is their goal.

Of course there is something wrong with the price as it bears no reflection to the metrics norm of the industry. The business is excellent.

To parrot the same question won’t get you an answer.

The price will recover and that is my belief, the management belief and the major shareholders belief.

Spotify are at the other end of the spectrum. They have a few high profile shows which are eye wateringly expensive. Spotify earn from subscriptions which can change very quickly as result of fickle subscribers. That is seen when personal finances are hit due to economic downturns.

Audioboom have contracts for 18 month to 36 months. Much more stable.

It doesn’t matter to ZAK etc the great detail which the company gives on the business, its growing number of new contracts, renewal of existing contracts, its record number of downloads, increasing revenue, reiteration of FY24 forecast and FY25 estimate, firmly in 4th or 5th ranking in USA, cash in bank etc.

The company has fantastic tech which bearhunt3r has just highlighted.

Shows are flocking to Boom as they are the best company with a record of getting advertising revenue.
