If it helps, last years Interim div of 17.5p went ex-div on 26/10 and was paid 0n 10/1. Expect this years dates to be similar.

As a North Devon resident and occasional bus user - and SGC holder - it's a real shame for the area. First are an absolute nightmare and i would rather stand in the rain and wait 20 mins for a Stagecoach bus than give that shower of ****e a fare!! While some routes are shared with SGC i feel sorry for those on First routes who will lose their service if First decide to pull out. ATB.

Yep very quiet on the Millwall front, and i've been variosly ill and tied up with a building project on the Devon house, so really not been around much of late. Perhaps they'll follow ManU and float in the states?!?!?! Have been 'close' to this share since buying in in the 80's. I buy them, tuck them away and pass them on to my kids unless i need to sell them to heat my home in my old age, Although at the current sp would probably get more heat from burning the paper certificate than selling them and buying a log for the fire!!! Have been around long enough to know that not everything that falls eventually rises Phoenix like from the ashes. Some things just wither and die!! These boards are full of deluded souls who believe that share A or B will make them a killing - just look at PXS!!! Hope you are able to make money out of this, but for me it is just one of my underperformers and i will never recoup my costs - though have enjoyed spending the money off vouchers. I look at my portfolio as a whole and don't stress too much about the occasional failure. Fortunately some of the other 60+ holdings have more than made up for the loss here. ATB.

NO. It will be 105.06p!!! This is made up of the Final div of 42.06p and a Special div of 63p. The shares go ex-div on 20/6 and the div is to be paid on 27/7.

Enjoy your trip to Livingston, did a few jobs in the PO back in a past life. The Bushmills Distillery is indeed a wonderful place as is the surrounding scenery, know the place from yet another past life working for UTV. Which Bushmills did you sample? The ordinary is just that, and the single malt is a little too light for my taste. But the Black Bush really does it for me and would be right up there with the very best that Scotland and Kentucky offers. Each to their own. LLOY is indeed one of the major underperformers in my portfolio, very disappointing indeed. But there are some excellent people on that board, and i very often pop in to see what they are saying. TSCO has been languishing, unfairly IMHO, for long enough so hoping to see closer to £4 at year end. Ditto for BP, thought it had turned the corner when it reached £5 only to lose all of its recent gains. Will be glad when the US troubles are finally sorted and the sp reflects the ridiculously high price we are currently paying for our car juice. And best of luck with PMO, have put it in a watch list so i can keep an eye on it for you!! Wasted all day trying to sort out Student Finance applications for my two's final years at UNI. Got all my ducks in a row, finally got through to them - after 4 hours of re-dialling!! - only to be told their systems were down for updating and would i ring back next week AARRGGHH!! ATVB.

Whenever i do visit LSE i always have a look at my 'watcthlist's' which contains all of my main holdings, so i can see who has commented today on the shares i hold. Sorry i missed your post to me last week, i do pop in from time to time but there are so many people on this board these days that a post can drop off the first page in a matter of hours. Sorry to hear you've not been well, hope you are over the worst and progressing well with the renovations. Have spent a fair bit of time in Devon recently preparing for some building work due to start in June. In fact i was demolising an internal wall and ripping out a bathroom when you posted on here!! Am afraid i know nothing at all about Bowleven, or even the oil industry in general. Yes i have a large holding in BP, but that was bought many years ago. You are correct in my views on a lot of these smaller 'oilies' and biotech companies, think you would need to hold ten and hope for one to do well. Far too risky for me, i'm a solid Blue Chip heathy div type of guy. As i have never been a great believer in pensions my dividend income is a major part of my retirement plans. As for somewhere to chat where our posts wouldn't get lost in the dozens of others can i suggest OEC3? It's a VCT that i had the misfortune to invest in a few years ago. Completely the wrong time!! It started at 100p and has been falling ever since. Only the 40% tax relief and tax free divs have just about prevented me from showing a loss. In fact there has only ever been one post on there in the last 5 years - mine - so we're unlikely to be disturbed!! Hope to catch up with you soon so you can bring me up to speed on MWH. ATB.

Hello stranger, i'm still around and do keep an eye on your posts and see you are still single handedly trying to revive the THT sp lol!! This used to be quite a quiet board where we could while away the time talking about everything and nothing without getting in anyones way. This has all changed since the slide to 10p and the subsequent recovery back up to 30p. At times it resembled an AIM stock with all and sundry piling on for the ride. It became difficult to follow what certain people had said without going back through pages of posts to find their last comment. Thanks for the heads up about wag7, never saw his post to me but will reply here and suggest a deserted site we can talk on. If he doesn't see my post, or you see him again before i do, then send him over to OEC3. No-one will ever go there!! How are tricks with you? Still averaging down on anything? Glad you turned HMV and this around, how are your other ventures? Looks increasingly like i'm going to have to sell my IPR as GDF SUEZ buy the 30% they don't already own. Has come at quite a good time as am just about to embark on a £25K building project on the Devon house prior to the mother-in-law moving in with us. So have spent a lot of time down there doing a lot of the demolition and preperation work prior to the builder starting in June. Am quite happy to pay him to build the Granny-annexe, but don't want to pay him to weild the sledge-hammer and dig the foundations!! I don't take any credit for any call on this share. It's one (of many) that i have held for a while and was just putting the opposite view to those that were saying this was doomed and heading for 50p!! Have been invested in shares long enough (since 1975) to know that things don't always do what we expect them to do. And always find it surprising (or not) that those supposed know-it-alls never ever come back on and admit that they got it wrong when things don't do what they told us would happen!! Last year it was LMR were going to rise from the ashes and PSN were going to collapse. Guess what? LMR went bust, and PSN have doubled in value. Unfortunately peoples inflated egos and delusions of grandeur mean they cannot admit they were wrong.

It's worth nearly £125 at todays sp lol!! Now you know i'm not the type to average down, if i was going to put more money in anywhere i would find somewhere better than here. I'm much more interested in the total value of all my holdings rather than in individual shares, and as long as that is increasing then i'm well happy :-) This will be confined to the 'waiting for a miracle' folder along with TNI and PIC. It's always useul to have something to sell at a loss if you need to reduce your CGT liability. Thank God i wasn't forced to sell my entire holding in Arsenal last year or i would have lost 10's of £1,000's in CGT! As it was the four of us selling one each took us up to the limit. Was going to do the same each year for a while, but now it looks like i'm going to lose my IPR holding to GDF Suez before too long so will not be able to sell another Arsenal share in the next tax year. Fortunately most of my holdings were PEP'd or ISA'd years ago. Ironically Arsenal never got done because of the high cost of a single share, and i never forsaw them taking off in the way they have done in the last 3-4 yrs. DOH!! ATB.
