the companys in good shape going forward apart from the obvious impact on the years profit. should have one of the wind farm vessels fully equiped & should be ready to sail so likely a news release there to bouy the price

Fwiw, i spoke to somebody last week regarding any possible news linked to Lamprell. He said he hadnt heard anything good or bad about the company. Not much help i know but will post if i do hear anything more specific. Until then & in the absence of news i'll stay quietly invested for the reasons already given. Have a good time in florida

the KSA may be where a Takeover approach comes from eventually ?? - just speculation as yet but very feasable imho. Im pretty sure the companies being sized up at least from certain parties. How that works out eventually i dont know - again, wouldnt invest here on takeover speculation or possibilities in isolation to the recovery potential of the stock atb

Thats why the recent JV deal with Shoaibi / AYTB was such a positive development & strengthen there ability to service an increase in land rig units. That would be in line with expected order increases on a widely held concensus for sector expansion. Whether the management have "balls" in a literal or metaphorical sense doesnt warrant my time on speculation tbh. I'll look at the investment from a detached perspective as previously stated & not with a social conscience re: workforce layoffs to reduce overheads etc. (or indeed plush offices which may be a useful requisite to continually attracting further orders). The management have a job to do & recent developments, continued support from customers & a view to expansion in a growth sector make this a very good prospect as a recovery play imho ie theres a much greater probability for a significant price increase from current levels then any drop & given a reasonable time frame atb
