Hey Bucketman7 Jan 2023 19:51
Hi bucketman appreciate the adult responce , means we can share our views and opinions in a adult manner.
I do agree with a lot you say , and I get covid has played a huge part here. Gigantic in fact , and at times I can appear quite negative , in fact I'm just trying to give a honest opinion. I used to be accused of being a ramper believe ot or not.
I used to be ultra positive here , a share price rising to 120 odd , and that's before we opened our doors , we were seeing good trading updates considering the world we lived in at the time and we had a lot of box office hits to come.
During our closed periods our finances down to the bog roll was renegotiated , coming out of covid a much better run company.
We were supported by lenders , bailouts were given , with the believe the trading updates proved good enough that we had to ride out the storm.
Unfortunately for cineworld at least in my opinion lenders will only lend so much, they will only wait patiently for so long and it's clear cineworld were burning a lot of cash every month.
So covid not only fought us but pretty much has knocked us out in the 11th round.
I believe and agree we can blame covid for our downfall, however I personally think we are passed the opinion of we need time to recover, simpy put our debts are too big , and we are simply not making enough money.
What's left is a man waving a towel in our face while lying on the canvas, that man is called chapter 11 nd in the process of negotiations and the sale of assets just to get back on our fret again.
I agree the company has a lot of employees etc to think about, however as cold as it sounds most here care more about thier personal investments , what it will look like after chapter 11 , how much dilution occurs and the effect it will have on its shareholders and our money.
Current state of play it's understandable in my opinion that some are frustrated and maybe a little negative with this share. Especially with the way the board have conducted themselves over the last year or so.
Right now unless you listen to the rampers who are here for a punt there isn't anything great happining here , ( where we're they Friday with 13% drop ) it's simply a disaster situation.
I personally don't have sour grapes , I know the risks of investing and I congratulate only myself when I'm winning and blame myself when losing , others could learn from that.
But good points made , I enjoyed hearing your opinion , have a good new year and let's hope and pray chapter 11 is more kind to us then feared.
The above is obviously my opinion only
