Has 2023 been a good year.2 Oct 2023 16:55
2023 was supposed to be a good year, the coming of the commodity super cycle that P.J used to go on about , IPOS to be landed and the impending possible company changer in Molopo farms and bonanza grades at Tati was enough to get the already invested excited.
so how have we done so far , appoligies i will ramble rather then structure ,it started of with a 900k raise to accelerate the uranium programme, and a comprehensive exploration campaign at Tati.
Uranium so far in my opinion is money well spent to those that are happy to stay invested for the long term ,some of our licences hadn't been touched for 40 years, so getting a better understanding of this huge footprint is wise, rather then go gung ho and waste a load of cash, I don't however like how its currently the company seller, my opinion is that it will be some time yet before any pure play in a Uranium ipo will be ready to prove up a deposit let alone extract any uranium from the ground.
Tati (also part of the fundraise) for me has been nothing short of frustrating, its been slow and we are 9 months on and still no drill has entered the ground , I'm not convinced it will either, 9 months for what we have achieved is a joke.
March time P.J leaves the company for personal reasons , the market reacts negatively after all p.js middle name should of been POW, and was replaced by Sean Wade. you could argue while the market is still bad and waiting for the super cycle it has never recovered from this point.
direction of pow is clearly about the ipos and Uranium Uranium Uranium.
GMET launched early may and has since been progressing nicely, its also an example that once these ipos are launched they need time to do there thing, GMETt is 4 months in the making and prob further along then i would expect other future ipos to be in a similar timeframe. this time next year im sure we will be talking about a few more that have gone live.
Rick rule turned up in May ( yes I said may) any impact he was ever gonna have to the s.p has I'm afraid been and gone, however it has given us some exposure and allowed Sean to speak in Florida which is a hell of a lot better then your bull market channel or cheap media outlets that attract under 100 views. least Sean is trying, will also be in new Orleans in November so again its a better audience even if it is costly .
Molopo results came out in April , better idea of what we have but ultimately compared to the hype also very underwhelming, at this point we had ALREADY been told of potential J.V partners , this update suggested further discussions with new partners and those conversations would be significantly advanced. my personal opinion is pow are struggling to sell what would be a very expensive campaign to a company with no guaranteed results , i would however love for Sean to prove me wrong its only my opinion after all.
projects such as Hanetti and silver peak remain stagnant.
