The point on the price per Troy Ounce of Silver coins here is well taken but that's the price and there's no CGT remember .........

This caught my eye:

What, pray tell, would motivate them to do that? Someone anticipating a run on these that may suggest black market fakes down the line as the price balloons?

Give it a few days/a week I guess, we don't know for sure what this is yet - there's more than just Silver here of course, there's plenty of Gold too and Gold is moving very nicely too tvm.

That would be the people sitting on 1.6 billion ounces and a metric ton of paper they can simply vanish :)

"Blame it on retail m'lud" and likely as not, not just a Silver pump but a 1929-esque market crash this year - manipulation on this scale requires a narrative and a precedent to be set up for someone else to carry the can when you push the house over the cliff.

Tin hat stuff I know but this is how the game goes - they know with absolute certainty that paper money is totally and utterly toast from here, there's only one way this can go so reading the narratives, or trying to, is key re timing IMO.

$40s is only a matter of time IMO - JPM put it at $50 back in the day for a reason and I've no doubt they'll put it back there again, and more, when they're ready - BS or not, I read that they are sitting on 1.6 billion ounces of physical accumulated over the last six years of sub-$20 Silver price suppression.

The Robinhood/Reddit stuff is very entertaining of course but I highly doubt that it's "just a bunch of kids" and it's not lost on me that having set the precedent via Gamestop that the next focus would oh-so-conveniently be on Silver.

Who could possibly be behind a move to make millions of retail punters rocket Silver sky-high right now?

Then 27/28 would make a nice new floor for a c$70 target for Silver - I expect the Gold:Silver ratio to tighten forever from here as Gold is now too expensive for many buying jewellery.
