I don't care about the rates pivot as such - yes, that will pour petrol on the PM flames but PMs will stay strong while rates stay/go up regardless - it's all about the debt stupid and the US have half of their $32T of debt maturing over the next 2-3 years.
My, earliest, PMs exit timeline is 2026 - Basel III was created for a reason, they knew this was coming and only hard assets will keep the banks afloat, hence their unprecedented buying of the last year or two.
PMs price? Well that will only explode when they're done buying of course - that's what CRIMEX is for ...
Re Japan - very much a special case - they don't even control the BoJ, the US does.
