I trust you are becoming familiar with Fortune Majopelo? He is always up to something positive. Never ramps, just mentions in passing that they will be devoloping a mini grid at Vametco and then BAM! we get an RNS saying they did it.

Interesting that he and the bod are willing to reappraise strategy and the companies position. I like that, judgement is crucial which can help one underline convictions.

SP is definitely suffering due to low vanadium prices IMO. That just creates a buying opportunity but only as value can be added otherwise or the price of vanadium increase.

I would not be surprised to see Bushveld Energy unveiled at some stage in the future. My only question is, would there be a Bushveld Minerals & Bushveld Energy or just a rebranding of the whole company as Bushveld Energy to capitalise on the renewable energy sector.

It is also clear that Fortune is frustrated by the restrictions of AIM markets. He has mentioned previously that Institutions will not generally buy on the open market and have told him to let them know when there are official fundraises (placings). Is AIM the wrong market for BMN? Quite possibly IMO and there may be a move to a main market.

Finally, BMN are a primary vanadium supplier/producer. They have an investment in IES (a secondary Vanadium business) who are flourishing; all be it at the moment. The vanadium market seems changeable as the primary users and buyers are states and countries (California, Australia, China etc). If the customer change there minds it is important to be agile and for that reason it is all the better to be a primary business supplier/producer so that you can continue to react to market whims and demands. Especially in a market that isn't sure of which direction it may yet head. For example; Lithium, vanadium for energy storage or none at all! I therefore think that it is as important to monitor the primary users of energy storage as it is to monitor the primary producers.

I think you are right. The vaccine approvals by FDA etc will hurt SNG in particular although I see 65p as the best buy price. Then I think it will bounce hard to £1.20 and be subject to much volatility until P3 approval. Traders and shorter's will not leave his one alone which is a great shame as essentially the company have done little wrong and the drug is very credible. Long term SNG has prospects but I will wait to buy.

Bringing the subject back to Imm if we can. Investors should either back the science or ship out IMO. I am not saying we need total positivity but the hierarchical games played on this BB are not only unnecessary but they undermine the hard work the scientists put in over the years. Luckily sticks and stones as they say...

Renewables:
I think it is a question of choosing the right one but the more one looks the more one finds. The best all round one is BMN from what I can see, I will explore similar plays and then venture out into related areas like wind and solar. Once I have found my feet start looking at the US. I think Eva is right, the general trading conditions over there are generally better with bigger potential. Will look closely at SUNRUN. Also I will set a budget as I dont want to end up with £30k's worth of renewables and unbalance my portfolio.

Cant quite work this one out. It is a slow mover for sure but it clearly has huge potential. The CEO is slow and steady not a go getter like Fortune Mojapelo. Watched Ferro interview on Crux (jan 2020) which was very good, not a lot has happened since then that I can see, still awaiting connection to grid. Any way interviewer was very good, possibly performed better than CEO!

Clearly this is a bargain at these levels. All my biotech pharma's are down 20 to 30% and as I hold a fair few, I can't top them all up! Angle is toward the top of my list. I think that it is either the case the biotech's have all rerated downwards or they are temporarily depressed due to investment activity in other sectors (recovery stocks). All a consequence of Covid stock bubble popping and we are collateral damage.

I also think that approval will come after April 2021 so who knows when this might start moving upwards but it will get where it needs to be when the time is right. I will continue to top up sensibly until then.

BMN have a share in IES :-)

I think BMN will bag x1, maybe x2. If you look at the website it is clear they are building themselves into a force in the vanadium sector. They claim to have 3% of the market which they intend to increase. It also looks like they have ambitions in the battery development and installation market aside from their investments elsewhere.

Spending time on their bulletin board is time well spent IMO. Alfa in particular is extremely knowledgeable and always courteous. The board serves as a conduit for information where much can be learned about the renewable sector. They like to have their finger on the pulse.

I agree, IES is too expensive. If i bought there it may retrace knowing my luck. Troajan suggested looking at CRCL (Corcel - who were formely Regency Mining). I don't think they are quite on par with IES but they occupy the similar renewable space and may have potential in the long term. I just picked up 25k this afternoon.

I have put a little into CRCL, looks like a good suggestion from you so thanks for that. Market Cap just 3M and undervalued assets. Big question as always is will they deliver! They are in the right space so lets hope.

I added Melrose again and will build a position on any dips, Don't see why it cant find £2+ again.
Added CINE the other day, maybe to far diluted but sentiment might drive it towards a £1.

SNG I am waiting for 65p. No offense intended to those that really believe in this stock, it is just my opinion.

The Government have forced through planning for Lithium storage batteries in Kent. Not because Lithium batteries are better but because the government is stupid! It is a well known fact that these type of batteries are unsafe as apart from the fact that they explode the toxicity of resulting fires are lethal and very difficult to extinguish.

The positive is that the Government are at least on the right track by employing storage batteries but they need to get up to speed with Vanadium. It is safer because it employs one electroactive element instead of two.

1. It is far cheaper.
2. It is stable.
3. The resource is far more plentiful. In fact it is common around the world...
4. The Vanadium flow batteries do not decay anywhere near as quickly as Lithium batteries.
5. Vanadium flow batteries can be charged indefinatley where as lithium cannot.

California State have started the ball rolling for IES. Hence the massive rise in SP. This is couple with a rise in the price of Vanadium to more normal levels.

Could do with turning back time and investing in IES or finding a cheaper alternative play!

If the US part of the last trial was 'flawed' or lets say less convincing. Could that not be down to genetics for example, after all that seems to be a factor in the Cov 19 pandemic. I guess we may not ever find out but one would assume Avion and Imm have data as would the FDA. I guess it could be many reasons but who really knows...

Imm are chancing their arm but lets say they did not inform us but gained the interim approval to start marketing. The SP would rocket out of control as investors and in particular, private investors, would not have been furnished with ALL the information. I think that as they intend to ask the question of the FDA, then they were right to inform the market. The FDA may well say no but that should not affect the submission/application.

I am happy with the way the Company have presented their intentions properly and I am also happy with the chance I have taken with my modest investment.

I have not looked to closely but it seems the bod are grabbing what they can as they know stocks and shares rise and fall.

It could well make you a lot of money but easily lose you money too?

A quick guide to renewables / battery storage. Lithium presently used is unstable (explosive) not to mention highly toxic when alight! Lithium also expensive. Vanadium is the cheaper and more stable alternative that in theory can be charged indefinatley.

Storage batteries (vanadium) are used to store power from turbines, solar etc so that stored power can be used when needed. Vanadium flow batteries do not deteriorate over time like lithium. So IES have won a contract to power a fire station in California: the reason is that if or more likely when they have forest or bush fires. They have a stable and reliable source of energy (flow batteries) that can fill in for the power outages. It is the beginning of something that could be huge but only time will tell. As yet the Vanadium batteries have not been developed to work in cars or phones etc.

Well that is the story but you have a better idea I think about fundamentals.

I see a synergy with Eva's views on Solar/wind renewables so maybe we could all get involved and find a good thread for renewable investment? Also Troajan seems to be familiar with the space.

Can you give me your opinion on IES. I really like the Vanadium play, I am a holder at BMN who mine vanadium, they have a amazing set up but the share issued and Market Cap may be holding them back. That said, they may yet 2 bag from here if world vanadium price increases. Any way back to IES, as I have already stated, I though about them but I may have missed the boat. Fairly small MC but very interesting contracts with California state and in Aussie too.

In fact if anybody wants to help me investigate this sector of power storage and renewables that would be awesome.
