Although non producing miners offer the greatest gains it is often built in sentiment. Lack of investor confidence can erode gains. So for example a falling gold price should not effect non producers, but it WILL evaporate profit. Investors some times look for other reasons like the stock is bad or the market does not get it. However it is usually lack of understanding of the market and investment case that leads to loses. The other reason as Nolupus mentions is bad timing and impatience. Best to take control of a situation when profits are on the table as John did at OMI.

Sounds like you are doing well and have a good understanding. Don't worry if your cash in too soon. Lock in profits is always a smart idea. Most important is to continue your own research and do not be lead by sentiment of holders in your stocks.

Good post on ECR board from Trek. Also if you click on his name you get his views on technicals. Worth some consideration IMO.

This is a dip! Lots of people unable to stomach holding shares and it is happening across the board IMO.

If you are very lucky you may see 3p but there are enough of us to grab them if they hit that level.

Nothing to stop anybody buying physical gold as well if finances allow I suppose. Not something I have done yet but I intend to balance the portfolio.

The lower price of gold will evaporate sentiment. That is when people need to have string conviction in their investments.

I always think Twitter is a good indicator of a companies awareness and perception of self and how it is perceived by others.

After all, Twitter is free and people are always willing to listen to those that have something to say.

Personally I think developing an inhaled version of COVIDITY would be like finding another mountain to climb. Question is, why?

In practical terms the world needs COVIDITY and it needs to be proven to work and be safe.

Maybe an inhaled version may follow but look at the mountain Synairgen are climbing and that has taken 8 years even with AZ showing interest in it.

There are companies that convert vaccines into tablets once they are proven so that they can be administered in extreme hot/cold environments.

I have two ISA’s but of course I can only add £20k per annum between them.

I also have a SIPP and can add £40k a year with a 20% relief from the government.

I won’t bother doing anything else but I am careful to load the right investments in the right account. For example HZM, Sclp, DNL are predominantly in the sipp. Angle on the other hand is split evenly. Miners and tradable investments are in the ISA’s.

I would be keen to know if I can add an ISA for the kids and how to do it. Is it simply a case of opening and adding?

This looks unlikely to drop below 22p today. As we know news is due anytime so as time passes the chances of my order being filled looks less likely.

I am not trying to buy the company by the way, just increase my holding towards 150k!

Having a pocket full of these shares gives me a very good feeling.
