ARB should be above £3 by now.

But the recent spate of dilutions (fund-raisings, warrants) mean that there is more PI hesitancy now. It has stunted the momentum. People will also be expecting the churn from the last placing to drag the price down as it gets sold through, so I expect the sp to remain disappointingly low until a week after the latest new batch of shares become "live".

This time it isn't down to the MMs, it's the board.

But it will recover in time.

I find HL prices always show glass-half-empty prices for all my stocks :)

Many shares are down today. The UK market still hungover from the Budget panic selling.

Take a look around, ARB isn't special in this regard.

In my experience, the Joint Broker is announced about a day or two before the new placing, so I was surprised to see it so soon after the first one, when the first one had been brought forward (unexpectedly).

Do you think this means the larger placing will also be brought forward, or are you anticipating it to be around May/June?

My thinking is that the first placing has disrupted the sp momentum, so the next placing might be at a further 20-30% discount to the current sp.

A minor regulatory change in the way results are presented, which occurred a short time before VRS submitted their results, meant that the item needed to be included on its own separate line (although still within the same subsection).

Under the previous system, this would have been perfectly fine. Most likely the accountants were unaware, or had forgotten, the new requirement.

Zengah was in ARB for about a week, and none of his predictions came true. £3 by this weekend, £2 by tomorrow, back to £1.40 this afternoon.

He bought high on a spike and sold out at a loss.

The sp only started rising again once he sold out.

Apologies if this is too cynical, but the appointment of a Joint Broker is almost always followed by announcement of a fund-raising placement.

Different brokers = different mates who want to get in a cheaper-than-market price, and then flip the shares after the placing.

Firstly, if you're really "bullish" on ARB and have been invested "for months", then you'll know the volatility is to be expected, on its way up to much higher share prices.

Secondly, the fallout from yesterday's Budget has caused almost everything to drop, right across the market. Everything I own is down this morning, nothing special about ARB.

Maybe if you can't handle the markets, then try giving philately a go.

Anything in an ISA is tax free. Buying, selling, gains, losses, dividends etc... it is all shielded in the ISA wrapper and the taxman doesn't want to know about it.

No point paying dividends. The money is better spent reinvesting in new infrastructure.

What if ARB announced a 5% dividend in Dec 2020? That would be a worthless %age now. Even a 10% dividend at £1 a share would only be a 3% divi now, and maybe a 1% divi by the end of the year.

My first share purchase was also my best (until ARB came along). I bought into Games Workshop 4+ years ago at £5.60 because I am into the hobby. It's now £100. I wasn't even planning to get into trading, I just thought some dividends would be cool. I've also done very well from EQTEC and ITX.

My biggest solidified loss is a junior oil driller, which taught me some valuable lessons about not buying on spikes. And also not to buy oil companies. There's a few companies that have taught me expensive lessons, but I have found that expensive lessons are the only ones I learn from :)

My biggest paper loss is VRS, which is still a great company, but I just bought in way too early on the path to commercialisation. I'm still holding everything because one day, Rodders.... Thankfully getting into ARB in 2019 has more than made up for every mistake I've ever made on the markets :)
