"Martini's breakdown of the RNS was spot on...read that and compare it to the last interview."
Hmm. Does seem to come across as being a glass totally empty view based on the opportunity to pick holes in the messaging.
I think I'll sit back and chill whilst waiting for the apocalypse to arrive on the assumption that it will not. Of course when it does not there's always be the next one that will need predicting.
Has NoBox(2) contributed another two sentences of wisdom to the board?
Elsewhere NoBox(1) has smeared itself on ADVFN with the usual trolls spending 24/7 being the reason why QBT are going to release news soon.
I suppose it gives them some hope to cling to given the ongoing lack of anything from QBT.
"Given the disparity between last weeks RNS and interview"
Pardon? You'll have to run that one by me again. AFAIK the only disparity was the claim that the 29th would not be needed. The rest of it followed what seemed to be similar lines with the proviso that the situation on the ground was changing as things progressed.
Well said Scott. No doubt you get this sort of thing on boards over the pond but things can also get a bit partisan over here as well with people needlessly pouncing on what they consider to be threats that do not exist.
"Part of my Sunday pondering also got me to thinking how QBT would be equitable in sharing out the winning range of hashes. So if 1 miner is using the software then the algo works hard to provide the winning hash to that miner so all good. If 2 or more are using it then is it a first come, first served basis or are the supplied hashes somehow reliant on previously provided hashes for the current block. If the latter you would basically have the situation where 2 or more competing miners are actually helping their competitors (along with themselves) to win the block."
Indeed. I have also previously wondered about that one. My excuse, or solution, would be that if you assume they provide a 3 (2.6) times greater probability of guessing a win by predicting a search range then rather than the thing being broken down into three big search chunks that everyone ends up searching in there are multiple ranges of search that are identified and those are doled out to clients in a random manner.
"Red Herring"
Fair enough. I did stumble over that choice of words. In terms of the environment being different that is not the issue. The hydrogen would be released from water as a result of radioactive decay. The type of water does not matter you just need water and HE1 has it.
I'm just suggesting the, a different, possibility for the source of hydrogen. One in this case that does not involve possible poisoning of the well by hydrocarbons which appears to be a bad thing.
"It would be interesting if they did announce a Braiins colab. They could offer their standard firmware upgrade or a QBT boosted one. I believe Braiins take 2.5% fee atm, increase the fee for the QBT firmware and see if it was worthwhile for their users to pay higher fees but have a higher chance of mining a block."
I thought that they had already announced the name of the company that was providing them with the base firmware that they were going to use. If so then why introduce Braiin to the mix? There is also a still problem with how they dice up the share of profits and the perceived possible lock in.
To date FG has demonstrated what might be an overly protective stance as to what he considers to be his patch practically demanding that everyone gives up their IP in exchange for not a lot in return. I hope that sort of attitude is not raising undue barriers to the deployment of their supposedly working technology to add to the ones that are already in place.
In respect of the open source nature of this sort of firmware that shouldn't be an issue. They have a method designed for them to link their Method G, or whatever into the rig. They make that available for others to use. The others don't have Method B. Yah boo sucks to them.
There you go. A bit of a positive spin for a change. I get to do this because I know enough about things to write convincingly about the possibilities.
Note to NoBox(1). I know you won't be able to but please try not to misrepresent what I have suggested as meaning that I now have any faith in the company. It still remains a zero to me. You can have the last laugh if they succeed but until then button it.
"Was he asked directly about the need for further funding?"
Not specifically as far as I recall. Just about the possible impact of the "frustrations" on funding to which he replied that it was a time cost rather than a capex cost. For the moment you would have to hope that his previous comment about other sources of financing arising off the back of being in production, i.e from local banks coming to fruition.... if you believe him.
Focusing on oil as a source for the hydrogen might be a bit of a red herring. It has been mentioned that the Helium is in part dissolved in water or brine. Whilst this article is directed to hydrogen and its use by microorganisms...
https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/microbiology/articles/10.3389/fmicb.2016.00076/full
I think you will find that the opening statement is quite revealing...
"Hydrogen (H2) is produced in geological settings by dissociation of water due to radiation from radioactive decay of naturally occurring uranium (238U, 235U), thorium (232Th) and potassium (40K)."
In effect it describes the situation in which HE1 find themselves and, I would be inclined to suggest, is a better candidate for the presence of hydrogen in their discovery.
There is a bit of ambiguity surrounding that one. The RNS and the videos suggest ROM, run of mine, the implication being that they loaded it up with raw rather than sorted ore. Of itself that would make sense. Why try and prove and tune it with the easy stuff when you need to know it works with the dirty stuff. You just end up having to adjust and prove it all over again. My money would be on the results as recently announced being obtained from ROM, dirty, material direct from the mine.
In support of that mention was made about how much stock they had to run with the suggestion that it was running low but that was OK because the mine operator was starting up after a break on Sunday. Previously it had been stated they they had a large stockpile of sorted material to keep them going, thousands of tonnes. That may have been a stopgap based on concerns over how well the sorters were going to function.
They probably filled it up with the rough stuff and got caught by surprise that not only did the sorters work but they were good enough or better than expected so were going to carry on with ROM but they had or were running out of ROM because.... Whoops
"First of all you agree that I am right and Canmex have paid for £34m flog product up front?"
Yup. That sounds like the deal. Canmax want product. Canmax agreed to buy the plant against the product they wanted. Canmax would have either have had confidence that product was going to arrive and it is very likely that they had to go through George to get it rather than dealing elsewhere. No doubt if you had been invested you would have moaned louder if George had done a placing for 34 Million. That's called negotiation. George has an asset and he used that asset to negotiate a deal. It's rather like you getting a mortgage on your two up two down but whereas you were forced to become a wage slave for the next 30 years George got an operating lithium plant and future funding for it on what could be easy two year terms and now the bank is going step in and give him an even better deal.
"Remember in June when Prem were put in force majeure?"
Sorry? My take is Canmax tried to change the terms of the deal and possibly in a way that cut George and Prem out of it. A bush whack. Again I reckon George is cool with the locals and the authorities. He's been there a while getting his feet under the table so my guess is that Canmax thought they could rob him and ended up looking stupid when they tried to bypass him. So it was Canmax that put the deal into Force Majeure and George that set their minds straight. Either by bluff but more likely by strength of position George negotiated them out of the hole they had got themselves into, saved their faces and still kept them on board. Likely he could have just dumped them and gone elsewhere but George has better sense and better skills than that.
As to the rest of your somewhat pitiful efforts at scaremongering about the details of the deal.
George is still there. Canmax is still there. The mine is still there and now George has a shiny new toy that completes the set. Why do you think they would be bothering if they do not think things will work? At most you might hope, given your desire for a negative outcome, that Canmax will try to break it to take it over but they have apparently already tried that. I guess you can call that business and they were bound to try but they failed and, once again, I'm going to say they failed because George has streets of cred with Zimbabwe, people and authorities, whilst Canmax are strangers in a foreign land.
Now I get that George has something of a poor track record in the eyes of investors but, likely because I am naive and I missed out on all of that and the background to it, whilst investors are fickle George has been dogged and determined. He has not given up and now he has arrived. Sure, be cautious but I think its time to kick back and count your pennies. I've got a fixed amount in this and I am not going to chasing rainbows.
Oh. Just before going to bed here's another wild bit of speculation.
Let's say Canmax, a Chinese Company, did try to stitch George up and George Slapped them down.
He has suggested that these loans will be coming from sources within Zimbabwe. Africa in general seems to be having second thoughts about China's Belt and Road initiative. Could it be possible that lenders in Zimbabwe might take a liking to George and his efforts to keep the project out of Chinese hands?
"Like I said some go throughout their whole life’s not seeing it and other’s do."
No. Still not getting your point. I have expressed confidence in HE1 but you are suggesting I may have missed the point.
Perhaps you can try switching yourself off and on again and if that does not work go back down the pub and look for someone who claims to be a network engineer to sort out your cabling.
Oh. Second thoughts. Don't try to switch yourself off and on again. ISTR that one did not work out too well the last time I suggested it.
"You’ve kindly linked it for me."
Well. There you go. Easy wasn't it? Try not to be so lazy next time.
Might help if you gave the full quote rather than cherry picking for purpose.
"The essential elements of the amended agreement remain the same as the original agreement entered into in August 2022, save that the parties have agreed to a revised product supply schedule (and alternative arrangements) in respect of the prepayment of $34.6-million plus accrued interest.
Moreover, the parties have agreed to a revised hybrid pricing agreement with the payment for Spodumene (SC6) supplied by Premier based on the SC6 price and a profit share whereby Premier and Canmax will share in the profit from production by Canmax of lithium hydroxide from SC6 supplied by Premier.
The independent directors are said to have considered that the amended agreement provides an agreed timetable and process for the supply of product pre-purchased under the amended agreement with alternative arrangements in the event of a delay in delivery, resolves the dispute between Canmax and Premier, and provides a basis for the parties to work together to resolve the plant issues at Zulu and achieve all parties' production objectives."
That seems to have happened.
So, my take. Canmax tried one on. George stood up to them and gave them a slap. George is still standing and has an operating mine with a processing plant with a customer who is going to pay him to run it and, as a result, is in place with the collateral for a low interest loan.
Presumably you have a rusty TR7 and a Mortgage on a Two Up Two Down terrace as a demonstration of your negotiating prowess.
Now, unless you have some more stunning revelations such as copies of the actual agreement. I'll invite you to dry up and blow away. Shouldn't take too much of a breeze.
"BobsStocks Your not making sense, The links are for what? "
Michael, who works for Helium One, liked a post by Jacinda, who as someone has pointed out does not work for Helium One, advertising for a job. The, my, assumption or guess was that this is a job with Helium One.
I could however be wrong but I'd go for it being an advert for Helium One.
Not sure what the rest of your message is meant to mean. Perhaps you have been drinking. It can be a bit of a hazard when posting if you are not used to it and decide to froth off a reply without reading the full message.
Well. Until QBT release something new that NoBox(1) can distort I guess that you are left with NoBox(1) repeating its old distortions. NoBox(2) talking about it collection of window gardens and the warped introspection of NoBox(3) whilst others point out that they are wrong.
"Could be linked to Noble not us - who knows?"
Tricky one that.
Micheal says he works for Helium One on his Linked In page and Jacinda describes herself as being "Manager of Subsurface Helium Operations | Sr Geologist."
