Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It's not just the paper loss - factor in inflation, and your investment is shrinking week by week. Then there's the opportunities missed elsewhere as you have funds tied up in this rabid, frothing mutt. .
Time to take it out the back and beat it to death with a shovel.
Here boy.... let's go walkies...
Skindle - it's awards season again, so I'm sure you are just as exited as myself to see how the preternaturally gifted (and humble) Hollywood community comes together to support each other during these difficult times. Being a multi-millionaire living in Beverly Hills doesn't exempt you from the cost of living crisis. Having to sell one of your daughter's ponies, or your wife's Mercedes must be devasting. I personally know couples whose income has dropped below £10 million per annum. Devastating. Children in Africa are apparently setting up a "Just Giving" site to help these poor people out. It truly makes my heart bleed.
After seeing US airlines rise overnight, I genuinely thought we would do well today, instead we are back in the 140's. Mea culpa. Will I ever learn? Looks like a no.
fordm/skindle - I find your IAG/pig comparisons highly offensive. I have just eaten a bacon sandwich (brown sauce, obvs.), and it was quite delicious. To compare that culinary delight with this rancid pile of camel dung is ridiculous. Shame on both of you.
Still not sure about this "profit" thing. It's like the Loch Ness monster - I've heard about it, but until I see it with my own 2 eyes, I can't believe it exists. More chance of me discovering Nessie than making a profit here.
If things don't improve soon, I may have to dig out my old leather hotpants, and head down to Brighton seafront to try and earn a crust. Don't laugh - those 20 pence pieces soon add up, and KY jelly is fully tax deductible. I've already been shafted by IAG, so I'm used to it.
Quiet here today. Anyway, thanks for the compliment Skindle. Next year is a big one, as we all hope for a surge in the share price, and I strive for a hat-trick of POTY awards.
In the interim, I am on my regular pilgrimage to my spiritual home of East Sussex. Staying quite close to Beachy Head, so if the share price heads south, there's always that option. Hopefully it won't come to that. If anyone lives in that part of the world (lucky you) I will be found propping up the bar in "The Tiger" in East Dean, or "The George" in Alfriston for most of next week. It would be nice to put a face to some of the names here. Fordm - you can fly in - Gatwick is less than an hour away.
Anyway, should that not happen, I wish you all a merry Xmas, and a happy and prosperous new year. Which unfortunately means probably being invested somewhere else. Oh well.
