I think you need to re-read the rns on the results then. The debt is as expected, and will be reduced once the agreed sales proceeds come through at the end of the year. I believe the orders are virtually on par with last year, and have stated they are well placed on bids for additional significant projects (also not sure if todays 600m was included). Anyway, I'm not one to go on about results, people can read it for themselves and form their own opinions.

Bear in mind it has now tested 680 twice. I find that on the third attempt resistances get broken and new highs are set. How that occurs is anyone's guess, new contract win, good results etc. However it is, next time will see us well through 700.

It gets played with a lot, never worth bothering about any strange daily up or down moves. Just best to focus on the longer term trend and look at it occasionally.

Its a bit of a upside downside play for me. Could easily be down 20% at some point but could be up 50% so getting 2.5-1 on my money over a year or so timeframe. Not invested as heavily as I am in PFC as it doesn't have the divi to back it up that PFC has.

Yeah I just joined him on Kaz, bought my first chunk. I love a good value recovery play. Long term investments always pay off exceptionally well if you can stomach the volatility. Kaz volatility makes PFC look like a Pharmaceutical investment in comparison.

It was only £8 before the acquisition was announced so wouldn't shoot back to £10. Either way, A) there's not a chance they'd back out now after coming to an agreement amongst themselves, and B) Markets rarely bounce straight back on opposite news to what caused a sharp move one way. Once bitten twice shy.

I doubt that piddely divi is going to cause anyone to make any investment decisions...

General question. Given the high cost of this new purchase, and given the relative low market cap of Kaz in relation to it, what are peoples views on whether this will be funded through some form of rights issue. It is one thing that currently stops me investing, given the uncertainty around it, but I'm unclear as to how they will fund it other than partly though shares to the existing owner.

Petrofac always wins a lot of contracts prior to annual and half yearly results. Their team must make a big push on them around these times. I'd expect a few more wins over the next week or so if history is anything to go by.

Oil price will be back at $100 by Q1-19 in my view. We're in the up cycle, and the lack of investment over the last 10 years is starting to become evident in declining fields. All the political shenanigans have nothing more than short term impacts.

Not sure about that. Sinopec has suspended purchases of US crude as a result. Interesting Brent dropped, as I actually see it as a big positive for Brent, as its Brent oil that will replace the lost US oil into China. Result should be a widening in the Brent WTI spread.
