A fair assessment there beware. I'm targeting 700 this year too, with 800 my target if there's any asset sales or new contract wins. It always bounces around, in my view because of the lack of stamp duty combined with its volatile history making it on every day traders trade list. I still consider it a dangerous one to short / day trade though as they currently have 2 large asset sales being assessed, either of which once confirmed would cause an instant rerate. Additionally new contracts can come anytime, and as mentioned before I am a big believer in the potential for a takeover approach. All that hanging over it would make me incredibly of wary of shorting it, so I'm happy to hold and have no interest at all in selling any tranches less than 700.

Ab. Yu hold no shares, so why are you even posting on here? Please can you post an official source that shows that PFC have won no contracts. Lets see some facts as opposed to random nonsense you are posting.

It will be a negative number they hold ifonly, or at least zero with a view to buying in. Badly informed posts as always, 'lack of new contracts', I must have dreamt the official release which states $1.7bn in new orders year to date. Lack of new orders, lol

Worth bearing in mind debt is dropping rapidly, and if any of the sales they are assessing go through then theres no debt at all. So a buyer gets a low debt highly profitable company for a relatively low price, in a strong underlying oil market. For me its not a question of if but when there is an offer

With oil at these levels there is going to be a rush of tendering activity going forwards. PFC is one of the best at winning these, so in all likelihood the contract wins will really start to rack up. Share investment is based on expected future earnings, so its such a strong investment case. Its a bit of a battle ground between short term day traders and longer term fundamentals. Longer term is winning the overall trend, but short term sentiment is keeping it way too low in my view. I see fair value at around 800, with upside for when the contract wins come in. I do wonder how long it can trade so low before a peer just says sod it and puts in a bid, WG is knocking on the FTSE 100 door for heavens sake.

Roll up roll up, place your bets on how long the price can be manipulated to remain at low levels whilst all fundamentals point to a much higher valuation. Someone trying very hard today to keep this from closing above 600, yawn.

Its not one for the faint of heart that's for sure, but then that's why patience is usually rewarded. On another note I'd expect this to go up 3-4% on Thursday as divis are reinvested (I know I'll be reinvesting mine). I remember last divi payment date it roofed.

I disagree there Cripes. It will shoot up seemingly for no reason one day, and then continue to rise strongly, and none of us will see it coming. It does it all of the time. Trigger will be some shorts closing, or one of the hedgies building a position, but wont be related to any news. Obviously news would add to / also cause any spike, but no reason why it needs news to shoot up as it is undervalued versus its peers currently. Just my view of course.

Whichever way you look at it, its remarkably undervalued. I personally expect 800-900 this year, with a business as usual case. I cant see the logic for any short positions, other than companies hedging their positions and exposures. For me its stupid to short a strong and strengthening underlying sector, missed that boat by a couple of years.

Yep, something has to give soon. Either this short term pressure evaporates and it rises to levels on par with other oil players, or it stays here and gets bought out. Should be well over 700 in this environment.

At least this attempt to push it down is making it better value to reinvest the dividend on thursday

Agree RDR. My issue is that its usually 'new' posters who in all likelihood have a day trade short on, who regurgitate year old news to try to create concern for people. It has zero impact on the share price, but i find it very tiring seeing tthe same posts month after month. Wouldnt mind if it were new material. Constant use of SFO in the titles is a blatant strategy to keep it in peoples minds, very boring, and in my mind utterly irrelevant now.

I find it highly correlated that whenever the share price pulls back the number of SFO comments on here that resurface, fine levels etc. If in doubt regurgitate old issues and well known facts, its very transparent people. If you need info google it, its all in the public domain.

It will soon. Its underperforming the sector quite a bit at the moment, so I expect a strong up move soon to play catch up. PFC has been a traders play thing for a long time as many holders on here can vouch for. Some days the mm's just bat it up and down to create a bit of fear or excitement. Just another day, best to let them get it out of their system before we resume the up move.

I don't think it will have any impact on the AGM. AGM's are usually non events, which I'm happy with. 2018 has been a very good year, and the oil service sector is getting stronger by the day. All they will say is something along those lines, prospects picking up, more tendering activity etc. In the grand scheme of things these one off bits of news are irrelevant.

Doesn't need to be as has no material impact on the company. Its just a case of either reoffering it, or using other sources of funding. Its not really much of a story, but I think its just been used as an opportunity to take some profit.
