Not that it actually matters anyway. A personal fine of a few quid is hardly a big issue. Just the modern world that any news is awful for a company regardless of actual impact on a company. Modern world of bedroom traders / gamblers. Just look at any company lately that comes out with any update that isnt stellar, micro focus case in point. Few percent lowering in guidance, 50% drop in sp, crazy.

I dont think Asfari would have resumed full responsibilities if there was any issue. UK high court gave them 7 days to put up or shut up, and they provided no evidence, so on a legal basis the case has been dismissed, i.e. Asfaris got nothing to answer for.

Really weird market at the moment. Seems to be ignoring any fundamental drivers (sector wide) and just focusing on random things like Facebooks shenanigans. Oils at +$67 and even the out and oilers are barely moving up. Quite odd.

700 is my soft target, but if there's any fundamental boost such as big contract win, sfo ending, or a takeover approach then I'd be looking more at 800.

I was up �70k when it hit 580, and I will be up even more when it hits my targets. You will always see ups and downs. Price moves are often irrational, but if you're happy with your research on a company you shouldn't let daily moves impact your trading decisions. Just set targets and stick with them. Works out better in the long run.

Big difference between buying and selling to make a couple of percent in hours/days, and buying and holding for years to earn a dividend and capital growth. No guarantees of course, but trying to make a couple of percent here and there is just an out and out punt in my view.

Indeed. Problem is I equate that type of knee jerk buying and selling to gambling. You have a 50/50 chance of being right or being wrong. That's not investing

Fair enough if you get it right. If you are wrong you will be kicking yourself. I hold a large holding which I dont touch, and have a much smaller pot to use for shorter term trades to take advantage of volatility, buy the dips etc. From experience when i used to chop and change its 50/50 if it pays off. Not worth it.

I think you need to show a bit more patience ifonly. Chopping and changing positions oftens costs you. Better to hold for your targets and not react to daily ups and downs.

I like stocks that are heavily undervalued. Ones that are profitable but have had issues that keeps them from pricing correctly in the short term. Over time sentiment changes, and when it does that's when you make nice capital returns. We still have a bit of swinging sentiment here, but it seems to at least be turning to a more positive pragmatic view than it was last year.

It's an investment. Can park your money here or you can park it in a bank. I'll take 5% return all day long. I don't invest on a whim, thorough research first of course. Patience always pays off.

Just shy of 200k worth

It will always be a volatile stock. I've held it long enough now not to lose any sleep over random moves, up or down. I earn �10k divi a year from it, and my 700 target will be achieved at some point, 6m, a year, who knows but we'll get there one day. In the meantime I shall tut as it does random things and just chalk it down to one of those days.
