Just get ready for the mother of all bounces on this. It's down 65% in less than 1 year from its high on basically minimal news flow. It's pricing as though its a failing company and yet it's for me one of the companies with the greatest potential going forwards. I find it impossible to not keep chipping in and adding more here, its a screaming buy for me.

First mover advantage for them I guess. They will need to jump the price to buy back some volume, and the last mover on that gets a kicking. There will be very little volume on offer before the 260-270 level. No one will be selling it there. if anything it just encourages even more retail buying here.

You just have to laugh really. I can't imagine any investor is even remotely interested at selling at this low level. Whether it is 240 or 280 is still ridiculously cheap. Its getting a tad boring every day watching it dribble down. Dividend level must be off the scale at the moment, plus 10% i'd imagine here.

Nuri. When a person has 'genuine' concerns about a company, they don't invest in it, only complete incompetents would do that. If you own it then sell it, or as is more likely you just love to harp on about anything negative to support your own agenda, then please do us all a favour and stop trying to hide it behind your ridiculous assertion that you are invested here, nobody is fooled.

Because its traded in a 27p to 30p range. Any approach to 30p will cause a sell off

My thoughts are we should get a rally up to 400 then it will get shorted again back to 350. Although it has held up relatively well the last day or two.

I understand, but I've been in PFC enough as have many to know that PFC's share price very rarely reflects oil. It should agreed, but it never does. I say 350, as that was the support level on the last short attack. It will be the same companies shorting and they will remember those target levels. I could be wrong, but I've seen it enough for it to be my short term view here. On the flip side I'd expect alot of short profit taking at that point and a price recovery. We will see next week.

I mean more the amount of political correctness, the red tape, the limitations on personal freedoms. Not so much the actual police, who i have alot of respect for. I've lived all over Europe, even Ukraine, and to be honest even there is a better business environment than in the UK. You have to wonder why any company start up / expansion would ever consider the UK now, unless its the home base. As a country we've planted the seeds for our own stagnation in years to come.

Good point poker. With the sums involved though, for me it has to be authorised at a high level. Talking 10's of millions in payments. I'm very disillusioned with the UK to be honest. I work abroad half of the year, and its a much better business environment. I think very soon it will be time to leave these fair shores, as this country is becoming a police state, ruled by the ignorant. Just my rant for the day :)

The gov and SFO are a disgrace in my view. They penalise British firms for paying bribes (the cost of doing business in virtually every country). They penalise winning contracts that create British jobs. If the world all stopped bribery fine, but they don't, just UK (even the US is less vindictive to its own companies). Every company does it. They gov needs to open its bloody eyes and stop being selectively moral police.

Of course. But a 5% divi is nothing when you have 30% down moves. I've been looking around and can easily get 9-10% divi from even some FTSE 100 companies, that don't have the SFO on their back, and have in my view equal upside. It becomes harder and harder to make a mid term investment case for PFC, when looking at opportunity cost.

I know mate, I've been in it for a few years. It's the value I place on it, but like you say its not me that makes it move up or down. Just really wish they'd just admit it and we can all move on and make money.

Lol. Yes, the board has made that very clear. But I ask myself if the guys been done for paying multi million dollar bribes, did he just magic that money out of his own pocket? No PFC, gave it him. I'm invested, have been for a very long time, but I'm also realistic. The more they fight it (even though we know they are guilty), the worse the SFO will hit us when they do eventually charge PFC. Best case scenario. Put your hands in the air, step in to the light, pay the fine, then let us get back to 700-800p.

My issue is that I'm annoyed with these constant board statements saying no ones been charged at the company etc. We all know they are guilty. The guy yesterday has admitted it whilst with PFC. I just want them to admit it, pay the fine, and draw a line under the whole business. Otherwise everytime the SFO coughs we will get smashed 25-30%. It's a very easy target for shorters, and the company has not helped itself in defending against this with its extremely poor communications.

Yes, I don't doubt we'll get to 350. Its not logical, there's no justification, but it will be a prime target area for shorts. I see any bounce being sold into for now. I'll average down at that level, but not locking in more at the 400 level as its likely It will be forced lower if experience is anything to go by.

Yes. Shorters are nothing if not consistant. I'd expect another drive down to the 350 area before support. I wont be adding more until we get to that level as I got burnt last time it did the same.

Just another day in the world of Petrofac. It's share price is already priced low for an SFO fine, so this news makes no fundamental difference. Just fuel for the day traders as always.
