Its been that way for years. UK hasnt recovered at all really since the last recession. Jobsyes, but structurally weak, as is Europe. Still were a decade on so inflation alone should increase valuations

One day the economy is terrible the next its great. Its all just noise from people trying to influence markets. In reality ftse has been in 7200 to 7800 range for a long time now. Dont listen to everything you hear, theres always an agenda. Only trust what you see with your own eyes. If it doesnt look broke its probably isnt broke.

With PFC as with any other investment its all about patience. Im not renowned for my patience but ive got a target price for my holding here and will get it eventually, and have no interest in selling anywhere near this level. In the meantime get a nice annual divi whilst I wait out all the ups and downs nonsense. Ive bought all the way from 350, and add on any decent dips, including today.

I think you boys are obsessing too much about one broker is or isn't doing. Best to focus on your own strategies and let the price do what it does in the short term.

Oil will be $100 by Q1-19, I have no doubt of that. Regardless of PFC performance, the whole oil and oil services sector is undervalued given the strength of energy. Something's got to give. I remember being invested in the house builders before they rallied, felt exactly the same as it does here. Undervalued sector and strong underlying sector. No idea what will cause it, but when the sector takes off it ill do so in a big way. It's just frustrating waiting for the powers that be to come to the same realisation and drive it to where it should be.

To put it in perspective. Last time PFC was at this level was May 17 (during the drop), at which time oil was $49/bbl (now $79), and UK gas was 38 p/therm (Now 73p/therm). Now I'm not saying PFC should be 1200, but the very least it should be is pricing around the 800p level. Which coincidentally is also the level that virtually all the investment banks value it as. My own view is once we hit 679.1 it will jump up to 750 in a couple of days. Just wish it would get on with it.

Still struggle to understand why more people haven't seen the improvement in the energy markets. It's not just oil. Natural gas has nearly doubled this year (and is still rising). All of these developments mean there's going to be a huge uptick in new projects. It just continues to be short term technical / day trading, versus a fundamental market improvements battle. The whole sector should be leading the markets right now, instead of drifting and waiting.

True but the volumes are drying up now, so doesn't look like many people are getting involved in that game. Only way they will get decent volume done is to let it re rate higher. No one's interested in selling at 650 anymore.

Yes think a lot of us are eagerly awaiting the breakout. Its being a bit stubborn at the moment, but sooner it breaks out the sooner we can just get on with it. Bit of a waiting game

The only reason I see for this not to be over 700 already is that it has such a high short position that one or a combination of them are using the 52 week high of 679 as a point to defend and force the price down, to allow them to reduce at lower points. Given contract wins, decent results, upgrades there's no reason for this to fall at all. Its a battle they can only win for so long, as the sheer weight of upgrades and focus means its just waiting to break out. Once they've reduced their short level then I imagine they will let it rise.

Just the one is enough for anyone to handle. GF's, as in mood swings belonging to the GF, pretty sure that's the correct grammar.

Socgen and Numis both upgraded it today to 800. It isn't trading on fundamentals at the moment, its obviously a short player moving something around. Its mood swings are worse than my GF's, and trust me that's saying something!

Its the classic self fulfilling prophecy It always drops at 679, so people sell when it gets to 679 and it drops, lol. I'm not a believer in resistances as anything other than pure herd mentality. That said when we hit 679.1 this will blow out. For the life of me I can't understand why people keep shorting into it. Its such a short term mentality against what is blatantly a strong and improving sector.

I really do believe that unless this share price starts to reflect its improved performance and recovery then it should be taken private. Lets get an offer in at a sensible price and just remove it from the market. These constant games by shorts to stop it rebasing to a level proportionate to its fundamentals is getting really tiresome. The market is broken

Takes as long as it takes, but that's my target. Will just earn my 7% divi while I wait for it. Makes being patient a little more palatable ;)
