Lols, very much agree.
The enviroment, as you and i understand it, trees, fields, forests, waterways, wildlife, the countryside, are all just inconvenient planning obstacles to Miliband it seems.
More broadly, it sort of feels like they are just going to keep raising tax every year until the next election.
The tea-leaf readers seem to think around £25 billion this time, plus some fiscal headroom.
Inflation steady at 3.8% apparently, which simply doesn't correspond with peoples lived experience imo. Even so, it's way more than our peers where inflation is around half that.
The models the BoE, OBR etc use to predict economic trajectory are fundamentally flawed. Consistently overestimating to the upside, unleashing yet more spending which it later transpires wasn't affordable after all. The whole things a racket, lol.
