It's just a migrant exchange programme with France. Pointless.

All at enormous expense to the taxpayer as usual.

For every one we return to France, France send us one back in exchange anyway. The replacement has some dubious tie to the UK, so that we can't later remove them.

There is no benefit to either the UK or France, just a lot of bureaucracy and legal fees for no material change in numbers.
