At least the land is being used productively that way i guess. I suppose if you were a rancher you could just move your cattle onto the next available grazing.

Would be difficult if you were doing crops though, a lot of effort just to have the land snatched away at any moment.

Re moving onto abandoned farms.

Yeah, in the other video you posted about towns around Kansas, so much of it looks semi-abandoned, but with some TLC could be a beautiful place to live.

Yeah, dont think he said about the land as in a purchase cost, just that his dad was in farming previously there.

So maybe took on some of the family's land like you say.

Starting with just chickens and pigs wouldn't need much space, so perhaps he only took on more land when they went into beef.

Think he did the right thing, not taking on debt to expand, keeping it lower risk to start with, before going into beef.

Seems like such a nice guy, the farm is so picturesque too.

His background in business, and obvious skill with machinery and repairs must be a big help.

Must be so difficult starting out without those sorts of skills to hand.

Lots of interest in these drills recently. Some good results from the likes of OMI and GSCU have helped, plus the macro picture obv. WSBN has gone 10x in a few months without assays.
