It seems the future of the uranium mine hangs on the granting of an NSC-II license.
They applied in 2016, rebuffed in 2021, and subsequently appealed.
They reckon with an NSC-II there would be no further barrier to mine construction, other than finance. So the NSC-II is the last chance the politicians will have to block its progress.
And it sound like it was blocked on political grounds ( think PRD and their FSRU project) rather than anything technical.
So it could be a change of personnel in the relevant department, a comment in the press by someone with influence, something thats boosted the perceived likelihood of a favorable outcome? Just guessing really, could just be a TA thing.
