Have been looking into this one, i have a small position, some notes incase of interest.
URA Holdings plc
74% owned emerald mine in Limpopo, South Africa, targeting production within 12 months. Mcap circa 4m
Came to market via SPAC, acquired disused mine from Magnum Mining, commissioned independent JORC report in Nov.
Maiden JORC resource (Inferred)- 29m carats of emeralds (10 year life of mine at full production)
Available resource gross value of around $270m (conservative)
+ a huge JORC exploration resource estimated at between 168 and 344 million carats, (several billion).
All open pit low cost extraction.
Historical drill data indicates even more potential at depth.
To date site has been largely refurbished, experienced mine manager already in place, security and infrastructure upgrades and remediation work to roads, power supply, water etc.
Some grading and sorting equipment required to get into production, primarily an optical sorter, for which cash will be required.
Required CapEx to get into limited production only expected to be around £1m, according to CEO interview.
Once into production, additional CapEx to achieve full production expected to be covered by revenue.
Management have significant holdings, board includes Edward Nealon formerly of Lexington Gold, Andrew Austin of Kistos/RockRose is an investor @2p.
Two additional mineral exploration licences in Zambia, (graphite, coltan, lithium, and rare earths) to be explored subsequently, focus solely on production at the emerald mine at present.
