Hope you guys aren't too bruised by HE1 today, it may come good yet. I dodged it as didnt like the previous RNS (15th) re tool depth relative to main pay zone. Figured if they cant test the basement the odds of success were lower.

RNS 30th Oct: depth 1,445 m

(Drilling halted due to mechanical issues.)

"The Basement reservoir target has come in deep to prognosis and is yet to be reached."

RNS Nov 7th: depth 1,448 m

(TD declared early to preserve well bore.)

"Basement has now been reached"

"Elevated helium shows up to six times above background". (in this zone)

RNS Nov 15th: Issue at 1,430 m

"The logging tools from the initial logging run encountered some washouts and ledges in the Lower Karoo, therefore the tools were only able to reach 1,430 m MD."

I haven't actually read todays RNS yet, but gather something less than optimal has happened.

The price reflects general sector sentiment due to dollar strength, combined with some unimaginative MMs distorting the market on low volumes.

CapEx required to get into production is going to be minimal (sub 1M) from here, with the big ticket item (optical-sorter) already on order (at a discount).

Previous raises for critical equipment were conducted at market rate, or thereabouts, and hoovered up by the BoD and a select few investors.

There was no forward selling nor any subsequent selling of placing shares back into the market. Without an RNS you wouldn't even know it had happened.

The risk here is not dilution. In fact, the tiny amount of capital required to get into production is one of the selling points imo.

Just looks very oversold and likely due a bounce imo :)

Preliminary interpretation. Sounds like Gov stalling on the various advances made by LLOG, EOG, PRD? Etc. Legal action for compensation a possibility.

LLOG and Barryroe dont look to have a chance, EOG want licence extension, doesn't appear to rule out nor grant this, PRD, the FSRU sounds like their suggestion, but will they be involved?

PRD, very volatile, i added at 9.59p, and some URAH at 1.73p.

URAH may need cash, but the placings have been exceptionally well managed to date, required Capex is minimal too, so took advantage of the drop. Andrew Austin in at 2p, so im winning right?

Its been very difficult to spin a profit out of recent events no matter what your strategy.

The CEO at PRD is making things difficult there too. To her credit Lorna has been upfront about time lines with regard to the various repairs etc. PRDs CEO just keeps giving dates and then ignoring them lol. The excuse is that its all due to some NDA type situation between interested parties, which is to some degree propping up the SP, but if they need to start testing soon.

The latest one was " Testing to start on or before the 16 OCT, unless you hear otherwise".

November arrives and there is a note at the bottom of an unrelated RNS, "by the way we haven't even thought about testing yet"

Its almost funny, but you can't make good investment decisions when the information you are receiving is junk.

Its just been a bit of a calamity so far. Guess im disappointed as much as anything, had high hopes for a good run on this once they got hold of a rig.

I was a little surprised to hear Mike say "unfortunately we are going to have to bring in some additional equipment internationally" which is why i flagged it up on here asap, thats the headline from the interview imo. Lorna also suggested this may be the case.

For some reason i was thinking a quick fix to enable testing would be the order of the day, and further repairs could be conducted whilst they sent the data off for analysis.

Regarding the thoroughness of the audit prior to purchase, i recall posing the question when they acquired the rig, due to the length of time it had been inactive. But i guess you just have to have faith than they are performing due diligence, it doesnt appear that testing was particularly extensive from some of the comments during the interview.

Further update on time frame next week. Better than them guessing and disappointing the market for sure.

Sounds as though we may be waiting around a while. Wondering how much headroom they have from the raise to maintain the operation if the delay is extensive, without compromising the budget for the next target.
