I read somewhere that they had spent over 3 million in consultancy fees since April 17, sure it was in one of the Annual reports. Now that was more wasted money. Awful.

It is down 10% but don't they reset a share price in mid morning of Ex Divi day to start the new price from the last close price less the standard dividend. So currently HL are showing it down 39p which is 7% down on the closing price less the Ordinary Divi. In Bdevs case part of that 7% drop may include the Special Dividend as well which if you discounted it would put the drop at just over 3% which is in line with what is happening today. Of course I may be talking b..locks but sure I have seen them reset before. GL

Calmed down now , me I mean not the market. Cant see how such low share volume warrants this drop, actual trade volume must count for more than I think, but as you say the buys now beginning to catch up so maybe it will turn back on itself. So much for not checking again today. I f I had spare cash I know where it would be headed at the minute. Still get the Divi early November, hopefully a good TU next week and onwards and upwards to 600p. GL

Its a disaster is what it is ridiculous drop. Maybe shouldnt check the SP for the rest of the day and hope some normality resumes. Nearly 60 drop for a 35 divi even allowing for tge FTSE drop today thats ridiculous cant believe people are selling.

Well Booln thats the big question and we will knowcsoon how the business world is taking it. To me it means the Viking has not given them a plan and maybe has pushed it to an open sale, or lost interest entirely. To be honestbI am glad something has been decided this BoD caused the problems get rid of them. Hopefully JPR get some interested parties and a small bidding war might happen, hope so. GLA

Always included both sell and buy brokers fees and the tax and the mergers levy, wouldnt be a right figure otherwise would it. Yes a lot of ifs and maybes but you can but dream it all comes right for my plan anyway good luck with your own

Hello AKA0501 the way it has always been explained to me was it is the full value of any Dividend special or not as the MM s see the Divi as real cash leaving the company so reducing its worth. All that changes on sentiment and if people see the drop that big they may well buy in to it taking it back up. We shall see what happens, hopefully any drop gets swallowed up quite quickly. Personally would like to get to break even of 570 by end of year then sell out before Brexit and come back when it all cools down. I hopefully will have everything in cash by that Brexit date and maybe just maybe pick up bargains in the month that follows. GLA

Stopped believing anything this BoD said a while ago so called nearer the end than the beginning how long ago was that said now. Hope something does come out of any SR ( if there is one still going that is ) but cant see it, or if there is it will probably be at the low value end of predictions on here. 2p would break me even and get me cash to put elsewhere.

surely we are due some news soon either way, they cannot keep their employees and shareholders in thecdark for much longer. I am amazed we dont see anything in the news from JPR unions and even other news corps. Still one day nearer to the bond date so one day nearer to the new beginning, or end.

Thought it was ex div tomorrow God help us on the 12th if it does drop by the divi there will be some crying then. Lets hope there is good news in the TU to push it back up. If not just think of another 43p of dividend next year as well.

Come on Booln you have to pick it up a bit if you are going to ramp it. 4p at least start at something decent like 10p for a start. GLA
