RE: Winter Shutdown16 Nov 2024 10:44
We have had Winter shutdowns every single year and without any certainty at all about us pumping Oil the following year.
We are now pumping Oil, storing it, and we will soon also HOPEFULLY have a deal signed to sell it in 2025. Nothing guaranteed there of course, but despite the awful SP, we are in the best position we have ever been in.
In many of the previous winter shutdowns the price has dropped a lot, only to then dramatically rise in anticipation of the chance that the next year will finally be the year of production. We are now finally actually producing.
Who knows why the SP doesn't reflect that, but we SHOULD be generating income very soon.
I mentioned in a previous post that in 2022, the SP went from 1.6p in November, to then rise to 4.65p in December just 1 month later and based on no news at all.
We can only hope that similar happens again here soon and not even more SP deterioration.
I'm neither ramping nor negging here, I'm just saying it as I see it and the way I think and truly hope that it will go.
I think if everyone was honest they would admit that non of us would have seen the SP being this awful given the news that we have had. It does feel like it is purposely being suppressed or pushed down because nobody can explain it.
I've racked my brains trying to figure it out and do so every day. Hence me being here when I said enjoy the weekend yesterday! I am going to try and do so now though :)
Try and stay positive is all I can say. I have been as heavily under water as I am now a few times here before, only to then been in very decent profit months later. Wish I'd have taken that profit then but no point dwelling on that.
One decent RNS or even a decent interview from MB if he comes out of his cave can change a lot here.
All the best to everyone else on this rollercoaster.
