Hey all, so finally got confirmation through Barcs but they are saying each RI share costs 97p to buy!!! what the hell is going on?

Karv, I really do hope they reinstate the full Divi as it should be but they (and this goes for most of the other companies who stopped divis) will see it as a chance to decrease the payments for years to come. I wouldn't expect to see the Divi back to pre covid terms for another 5+ years if lucky.

More than likely we still got the huge seller in background (Craig Auringer). I doubt very much he has stopped selling after selling 2% of company in two lots last week. Until he clears off this will take a lot to shoot North

Now that Aviva have moved first all others will follow, LGEN etc. TBH though this was to be expected, people who thought it was a definite not living in the now.

The PPI 'scandal' was the banks repaying their dues, I still do not see how people can not work that out. It was anything but a scandal as most people knew what they signed up for but they made it a blanket compensation claim.

The banks ofc jumped at this, to push the blame to someone else for stopping the dividend payments!! 99% of all companies will stop dividend payments this year (Other 1% reducing i.e Shell). This is going to have huge dividend re-rates next year (i.e much lower dividend payments) hence the companies, like Barcs, win again here with reduced forward payments.

I am going to put it out there and be positive for Aviva today! - looks likely to be a very nice bounce today (could be circa 10% top) Be careful though, the bounce is unlikely to stay and more likely another false bull run but hopefully it may indicate a floor for now (Ftse 5000-5500 trading range) but as always - DYOR

Its a sombre thought to think we will have this Media panick for the next 6+ months, there has to be a point were, unfortunate as it is, it will be treated as more of the norm and things will just have to get back to business.

We all mis-judged this one mate! I remember saying the next time a stock drop comes round Ill know what to do, but how wrong have I been here. What levels looked like a bounce was coming (and an excellent entry point) never materialised. (Except for the fooking Americans who have a knack of ramping their markets up after they drag ours at the close)

So much mis-information spouted in fear times (Canx Divi seriously!) ! What I am waiting for is the recent disposal value, the company they are disposing of just got paid over £1bil for the sale of its shares in PT Bank, so they are not going to sell it for just cash face value, only thing I cant seem to find is what the Indonesia side was making per year to work out possible sale price (5x earnings at very least)

Completely agree with you Nuri! They say you should invest with your head and not your heart in shares, this share has defied that logic...for the moment!

Wow - that EPS gain is brilliant! This is how messed up things are though, Compare to LGEN - Aviva have 3x EPS, higher Divi, 50% more profit and yet are priced 15% less market Value than LGEN! This should get a crazy revaluation, easily 20% below what it should be

What about what looks like to be the impending sale of LMG group...If that gets sold for the reported 40mil and that reduces debt further would that not have a positive effect on the sp? I would have thought the company would then have shaken off the 'medium risk tag' with debt around half of last years EBITDA thus bringing the sp in line with other similar operating media companies.

Wouldn't now be an ideal opportunity for Mecom to buy back some of their shares? They recently exchanged 8.7mil shares @ £1.80 (£15mil) for the extra Wegener share so surely if they buy back 8.7mil shares now at .66p (£5.75mil) they would have in fact saved over £9.5mil in the origional Wegener share purchase cost........

I agree with your analogy, we should be valued at around 150p but looks like every tom dick and harry has been told to not buy any european companies shares. The shares traded on this news is abyssmal
