So generally the Media Authority approves as long as A-Pressen can satisfy the competition authority by what looks like selling some of its papers in two key areas. A-Pressen say its not a problem....but how much longer will this go on for! Until its a definite pass were be circling the sp drain

The newspaper sector is still very weak, without factoring in the possible Edda Sale these were circulating around the 140p plus zone after the last results . I wonder if Tom T has a surprise in store for Thursday with the recent apps launch, may be able to give us some insight into uptake numbers etc. Everything does hinge on this Edda sale atm, £190 million will be very well recieved and will more than offset any possible unwelcome data on Thursday, although the Media Authorities did say they aim for answer end of May.

What gives, with the current disposal this share should be valued at 290p going at the average before price of 150p and that includes the 25% discount to adjusted EBITDA from the sale. Looks like II's still keeping their distance. One good thing to note is looks like the bottom is around this price.

I cannot see how Mecom would say no, if they do they are tremendously stupid, the european sector is looking complete ****e so for someone to offer 7x earnings they should be snapping it up. If the amount offered is correct then that would double the value of the current company market estimation as would presume they would use proceeds to bring debt down, so upside chance of £3.00 (min) if deal goes through. Btw i am not in mec, yet!

Well its quite interesting, they say that overall they are down 1% on last years results BUT expect a total year on year decline of up to 7%. What I find the little gem myself is internet revenue is up and that debt will be reduced to below 270, a massive 50 mill plus lower, although that does sound quite optimistic.

Its hard to say, he could be referring to Montgomery making things harder for a new CEO to be placed etc which is directly affectin the SP, I would personally have thought that what Monty's done should have increased the SP ( improved cost cutting etc). The only things I really picked up on in short on that website were 'undervalued SP' and 'Munsterman may bid rumour', of which the latter I cant really see happening unless he has access to around £750 mil - £1bill of money.

Just dropped below 190 and with a meeting tomorrow I would not be surprised if this is deliberate so they can (the pis*ed off II's) point out the 'share value weakness' and that DM's strategy is not working so making sure he does not have a leg to stand on, if he was hoping to get back in.

Lol with you on that, 1.5 years been in here so about time we deserve something, but just not sure what price :s Sellers gone and buyer creeping up price, this is a very good sign BUT like been said the volume atm is not much but that could be accrediated to the fact that no ones willing to sell...yet!

Finish at last, lets see if it can go forward again. Im quite positive as with the stress test results out tomorrow ( I have a feeling they will be good and thats the reason for the jump in Ftse, DOW etc this afternoon) that should help push this further

I find the best way to judge shares sp is to base them on what they were worth when the FTSE was at this amount last time(september 2009). Judging by that it would seem this is about right (we had a big spike in Sept from £1-£2) Most media stocks have taken a bashing tho these past weeks (yell -30%, Trin -35% and JPR -30%) and Mec is at - 28% about. So really its held up better than others!

I have just run some numbers through for the current forecast of EBITDA for this share with the first quarter IMS and would like other investors opionions: Reported 2% drop in revenue would give us 1,380.33 for the full year Reported 7% drop in costs would give us 1199.60 for the full year This would give us a current EBITDA of 180.73 Pretty basic workings out and this is assuming revenue and costs stay constant with no improvement or worsening.

They just released their IMS, poor reading imo. Although this statement has no affect on Mecom as they are europe based, it amazes me that now with JPR's and TNI statements out compared to MEC's very upbeat and fundermentally much better statement that we are not performing better. I did not realise that TNI have as much debt as MEC, smaller revenue but are worth £1 more in Share price terms.

Can i ask why people think there is going to be any news on Thursday? Its an AGM meeting so going on their previous all they do is vote on keeping people in, share allowance etc so what 'news' are we expecting?
