So 'bad news' from two weeks ago, and 'bad news' from two weeks in the future, just to keep the 'bad news' threads going on the discussion board between news, while completely ignoring the actual news of the past week, which is all good.

Now why would anyone possibly want to abuse a discussion board in that way?

It wasn't 'an EU proposal', it's just a report from a Committee and the minor amendment on PoW was never going to get past a vote. Storm in a teacup.

That mirrors Biden's Executive Order and lines up both EU and USA to back an ESG standards approach to mining in their territories and systems. Good for Argo, bad for coal based miners

It depends what you mean by fully up and running. The plan for the first phase was to more than double the hash power over a year, by the end of this year. Building and infrastructure first (completed this month?), then installation of mining machines (starting next month). That is apparently on track, but not all the details are yet public. Some questions but so far so good.

I don't think that's any help in differentiating one Bitcoin miner from another though, and not specific to Argo. The board discussions tend to be more about that, although you can always find someone who doesn't believe in Bitcoin at all.

Yes, that seems to be a major advantage of the deal, as well as dovetailing with the monthly instalment programme already planned for their own Bitmain order this year. But remember the ownership was not the issue for Core, as the machines were effectively owned by Celsius before. Core is just hosting. Disruption is disruption, it has costs.

Not necessarily, they aren't swapping machine for machine. They're swapping total hash for hash (fewer machines). Core may have also changed their own medium term business plans. They get to recover their cash commitment to Bitmain, which they may have another use for. Also they're losing ARB as a hosting client. If they don't have a replacement then they may not need to refill that capacity, or they might decide to run down that facility over time rather than replenish. They make a significant saving on not unplugging and plugging machines, as does Argo.
