No, not really. It's a very common phenomenon to be out on 2D seismic data (although probably a bit further out than might be expected). From a helium system point of view it would be potentially better than expected news, if the geology maps out as predicted but at a deeper level.

I think she's OK on the interviews to be honest, she's there in a CEO role not a technical role (which I'm sure she could talk about all day as a geologist). For better or worse the board has agreed a clear decision on news management for this campaign to play a very straight bat until they have firm results, maybe because of the Minchin's news management debacle last time around. I imagine that's quite frustrating for anyone who's deeply into the detail.

LW, I think it's more of a cautionary concern that the two companies/projects are not equivalent and should not be conflated in terms of investment risk (which the marked difference in PR tone might otherwise mislead). HE1 has completed two exploration wells at Tai and is targeting deep geological targets. NHE is on their maiden drill and is targeting shallow targets (at similar depths where HE1 previously found that free gas could not be commercially extracted). Both companies have done their homework but HE1 is a lot further ahead in terms of de-risking. NHE may get lucky on their first shallow drill, but there is a lot of luck involved.

Good luck with the investment Jona, just check the most recent RNS statements or the Twitter. In short, hoping to be drilling again this week and finished up with this well next week.

No need to exaggerate, it hasn't 'crashed' at all. It's done what most AIM stocks do during longer waits for definitive news, which is to gently deflate. The market always plays on uncertainty, which is why these discussion boards get overrun by posts trying to introduce fear, uncertainty and doubt every time a company goes into limbo. Prospecting shares suffer more because they're high risk-reward and there are usually lots of nervous PIs trapped in over their heads. I agree the ramping posts are just as bad if not worse and Cyber is a prime offender.

Of course they are possibilities LW. You know perfectly well they are. The question is whether they are probabilities and what level of risk you consider relevant to your possible investment. The RNS is good news but not new news. There is a working helium gas system at Tai, at multiple levels, and the new well is successfully intersecting those layers with helium rich gas shows at the geological target levels. The integrity of the well seems good, compared to the last drill. They are drilling and pulling the drill out without down hole issues, which means it should be good for testing the target levels that could not be tested at Tai1. They have a strong probability now of reaching the basement, and the additional depth increases the likelihood of seal and gas pressure if there is a trap reservoir there. They should be wrapped up and tested next week, which gives enough time to mobilise to Itumbula.

I'd go with LB's statement in the interview that they hope to wrap up at TaiC "some time next week"

Good to hear the electrical fault was quickly resolved. From the interview, it also sounds like the spare part is not the problem this time (presumably they have that). It sounded like they had difficulty disassembling onsite and had to take it away to get the job done.

No they are not the same thing but would be done at the same stage (as explained in the previous RNS).

During drilling, helium shows are monitored as part of the general mud logging by Geolog (in that yellow cabin). They use a Micro Gas Chromatograph and the portable mass spectrometer.

After drilling is completed, Baker Hughes will run the wire line tool and hopefully the Reservoir Characterisation Instrument,

After TD has been reached, Baker Hughes will then rig up and run their wireline tools. ART - don't be ridiculous. You know what they found at Tai1, which was sufficient for them to raise millions of pounds in finance and drill the same prospect again for a third time. You know there are gas shows at multiple levels, and you know this drill has now confirmed that again. We all know that the shallow lake bed sands could not flow the gas (which is a risk that NHE might also encounter on their shallow drill). We all know the most promising gas shows were deeper but they could not wire line or sample these targets because of the well integrity issues. That's why HE1 are drilling deeper to test deeper targets.

I'm not sure I understand your point Art. Nothing has changed really, we know the sequence of planned sequence of events and we know there's signs of a working helium system. First, successfully drill to target (nearly there, hopefully), then collate and report gas shows at different levels (there are already gas shows at the first two target levels, as expected, let's hope there are shows at the basement level too), then take the drill out and wire line, then take samples. The gas shows are very encouraging, so that's good but we'll have to wait for the next steps to know if there are commercial reserves. The RNS doesn't indicate there is 'no free gas'. It indicates the opposite, that there is gas and there might be free gas, but they can't prove there are reserves at this stage of the drill. It's exactly what we expected at this stage.
