This is AIM SETSqx so the auctions are at set times, ten minutes to uncrossing trades at 8, 9, 11, 2 and 4:35, otherwise it's market makers unless there's a speeding ticket but those are pretty much non-existent these days

They weren't sold to hold, they were sold to flip at a profit. The investor will have sold the shares they got for 0.25p in the previous placing for 2.5p on drill results, then replaced them the next day with new placement shares at 1.5p, while maintaining their existing shareholding and realising a large cash profit.
