As I keep saying, check who sits on the board of HE1 and their business connections, it's not that difficult to join the dots. I have no doubt they know what they are doing in that respect. Here's a clue, the company strap line for Orca Energy Group is "Supporting the economic and industrial growth of Tanzania through the development of the Songo Songo gas field"

Longer term institutional investors in the sector, other than hedge fund speculators, can't really buy into a business at this early stage that isn't yet fully de-risked. They need the existing holders to carry that risk at least up to a point of proven commercial reserves. There'll be a new broker or research report published that details all the findings from the exploration campaign and setting out revised assets, risks and targets to raise the SP. Then probably a shareholder presentation/prospectus as basis for a bigger raise with institutions. All depends what kind of finance options they have. There's a lot of expertise on the board and they might have alternative strategies to take on debt against asset value rather than issuing shares, or the JV/offtake routes etc.

I think you'll find the two entities are already distinguished within the company structure. Correct me if I'm wrong but, in effect, doesn't East Africa Holdings own and operate the drilling op. If there is a mega helium discovery that transforms HE1 into a helium producer (as per company strategy) then I guess that Lorna gets rewarded with CEO of the East Africa O&G rig and exploration business, and one of the more business heads gets to CEO the gas company.

Nonsense Pete, how many drills can you list in the world that have flowed more than 4.7% helium to surface in absence of hydrocarbons? If confirmed, it's remarkable. If they can flow half that concentration at any kind of commercial rate it would be transformational for the global helium market.

The risk to holders, if there is one, would be the likelihood further dilution to keep the company going long enough to realise the really big gains. So a lot hangs on confirmation of commercial gas discovery, but also on the type of finance deal they can strike to commercialise it. I think your 10p slice is ambitious short term..It’s gone up 1000% aiready and you’re looking for another 500% . It could happen but 5000% on AIM without a raise is a lot to ask.

Worth mentioning that the lab at Oxford not only did the basic research identifying the likely helium prospect in Tanzania but they have some other research specialisms that may be relevant to Rukwa. In particular, their Resources Research theme includes some expertise on "novel sources of energy, such as geothermal brines and hydrogen".

In absence of any inside information about faster track options, 2-3 months seems a perfectly reasonable estimate in context of the major noble gas lab turnaround times for commercial testing Chesh. We can assume the samples are sent to Oxford University.

Purely hypothetically, if they want to keep this in the family (which I believe they may), then you could imagine an approach to a long term supportive investor (Cantor Fitzgerald) to finance a JV or offtake agreement with Tanzania’s existing gas field operator (Orca) to ship from the new national gas terminal being built on the coast, on an exclusive sales agreement to a major customer (such as Linde, Air Liquide, etc). Just idle speculation…

Lorna is a brilliant exploration geologist but she is not the one who is ‘well connected’ in this context. That’s where the other board members of HE1 come in. There are connections to O&G finance houses, to commercial gas field distribution in Tanzania, and to the government. Follow the connections, join the dots.
