Yep, from a company development perspective this is huge. Successfully flowing at least 5–7% from just the mid level EWT at Itumbula, and the basement play still to come. Gaining 50% interest in a proven US field with multiple development wells completed within 6 months is potentially huge.

All depends on the EWT results and the feasibility study (and the mining licence application). If they can prove a significant discovery, with a sound commercial and engineering solution to bring it to market, then they will have financing options to choose between (e.g. market raise, JV, collateralised debt, government investment, etc).

Most shorting on AIM shares is either organised by hedge funds or done via spread betting (or in a more roundabout way by the placing strategies of the company’s own financiers and brokers).

Sealgore - you are misunderstanding what you read. The broker valuation date is not 16 August, it was before the share dilution. The equivalent valuation now would be about 3.7p per share pre results.

Sharebel - you know the timescale for the EWT and you know they have a mobile lab onsite capable of independent verification. You also know the timescale for submitting production licence following results. There is no reason to expect much delay in those results. You’re raising false doubts. There are of course still risks in determining the commercial scale of the discovery but I don’t think it’s prudent to be short at this point.

Liberum’s broker valuation target of 5.3p was based on about 3.7bn shares (around £196m market cap). Conversely with about 5.3bn shares now that would be approximately a 3.7p target (pre results).

You know as well as anyone else that the find has significant commercial potential, or they wouldn’t be doing an EWT.

There have been decades of observational and seismic surveys in the Rukwa basin. Up to 10% surface helium seeps were observed years ago and the Oxford team did a lot of work to hypothesise the underlying geological system. HE1 and others have tried to prove it and to elaborate the models by further surveys and exploratory drilling, leading to where we are now at final testing of commercial viability.

Needed to separate flows from the two very different target zones. Assuming one or both EWTs are successful the well could be suspended largely as is for outlet to future production hopefully 🤞
