The worst thing that could happen as far as the sp goes, is if after all this silence, we just get an rns to say that drilling has re-commenced and back to business as usual, slowly drilling and waiting for the next set of results with a few teases about sulphides and small areas of high grades.
Im more optimistic than to believe that though. I think well get some big news.
Ill go for for possibly the Kalaba plant upgraded to process the cheyeza ore , (dont see why thered be any secrecy about that though) or preferably a JV of some sort, which should rerate the sp significantly.
Im convinced theres something serious going on. Guessing, like many, at a JV but Nick has said repeatedly that he wont be causing large dilution, which he needs to stick to as share count already at a hefty 1.2 billion. If hes in discussions with a major, Id rather he walks away if the offer is weak. Another year of drilling on our own will hopefully reveal the bigger scale that the majors want.
Im no medical expert but as far as im aware, sputum is not the same as saliva. Saliva would be from the throat or mouth, sputum is from the lungs and has to be coughed up or sucked out of the lungs by a special machine..doesnt sound very pleasant.
Anyway, there is a distinction.
Could also be that theyve already seen amazing massive sulphide drill results and theyre in the pub (are they open there yet?) celebrating and having repeated discussions (over a few light ales) about when theyll tell the rest of us.
They told us that the rainy season (Im guessing at about 4 months worth) would be used for looking at the recent data, evaluating and working out the strategy going forward.
They also hinted, pre rainy season, at massive sulphides, which I'll remain a bit sceptical about, until I see real data to back it up.
So in my mind, either the report of massive sulphides was exaggerated and there is no data to back it up, or (more likely for me) they are in complicated negotiations, which include the sulphides and a NDA is the reason for the present silence.
Hope im right anyway because im staking a lot of money on it and I still have faith that Nick is an honest upstanding guy with the best interests of shareholders at heart.
I look forward to the end of the year, when presuming we havent been taken out by a bigger company looking for a more accurate test than they have, to avoid their reputation being tarnished, or we havent spent our money on acquisitions of our own, then assuming the sp is still somewhere around these levels, we should have more cash than our market cap.
Great news for us and could make the company even more transformative with high revenues potentially stretching out years ahead now.
Those selling out and jumping in and out of other (mostly risky) covid shares are just not seeing the bigger picture. As ive said before..possibly a future ftse 250 company in the making right here.
Try looking a bit further out than the next rns and see the potential, for the company and the sp.
Patience really does pay if your invested in the right companies with real revenues and solid prospects.
Best wishes for your dad greg and good luck to all.
Agreed.. we might have to wait a while. They may not pay a large dividend to begin with, as most of the cash will be used to pay for stage 2 and Vermelho development but once everythings up and running..well..happy days!
I wonder how many will be gone long before a dividend is paid though if we see an sp of 25p to 35p..maybe more.
Just realised my mistake. Market cap £147m as at time of writing
Each to their own style of investment and some are willing/able to take more risks than others.
Like Sean, Ive had enough bad experiences in the past to make me cautious. I have about a third of my portfolio in HZM, a third in ARCM and the rest also mainly in resource companies, ACP, EML, HUM, as I think its the best sector to be in at the moment, esp battery metals. I think Nickel and copper are the big two to be invested in.
Of course Ill be slightly miffed if HZM take off and the others dont but the compensation of possibly 20 to 35p ps here in 2 to 3 years and a 4p average, will numb the pain.
All in all I feel safer to spread the risk and there are other good companies out there in a similar pisition to HZM.
The downside is trying to keep up with the latest news on the (eight) companies im invested in but ive made it my main hobby and as im semi retired and stuck inside most of the day thanks to our Chinese buddies eating habits, it passes the time nicely.
Although still a youngster, you seem sensible enough and already have some experience, so I wouldnt try to advise you, except to say that going forward (after the big pay day here of course) I would consider more diversification. Minimum 3 or 4 stocks for safety.
Good luck.
M Cap 47m so not far above cash and with no debt. Bound to get onto a few radars in good time and I thought the same chaise..nothing to stop them building up a housing division if thats their wish.
Would be a good idea for the higher margins.
All in good time and a worthy med to long term investment for me.
Anybody sweating over small paper losses here is very short sighted.
NvS did say he was looking for more long term sticky holders. Plan to keep mine now until we see the end game. Interesting time now waiting to see just what is afoot..apart from a slightly gouty appendage at the bottom of my leg.
Good evening Fulmar..yes ducks could well be lining up for us. Heard recently on the news that EU are now talking about distancing themselves from the economic influence of USA and China. USA have been quite insular and protectionist under DTs presidency and Chinas aim has long been to economically dominate the rest of the world. If they carry on as is then the US, EU and china (along with others, will be all scrambling to get the limited resources available. China are ahead of the curve so far but others cant afford to be left behind, which leaves those of us invested in battery metals and resources in general, in a nice position.
We can but hope Westie. Its been a long wait and weve had a few dissapointments in the past, so would be nice to at least see that elusive 5p as a new base, with further upside of course.
Sold a few in the past at quite a loss but been accumulating again the last few months at a much lower average so happy enough with what I have now. Its not on the scale of some here but quite significant for me. Lets hope we all get our reward soon...or even imminently!
...and I usually am to be honest but even though plenty big sells, (placing shares presumably) there are some very meaty buys.
Either we have some traders with very deep pockets, or just maybe someone has started accumulating with a view to making an offer for part or all of the company.
The buys plus the sound of silence from the board (dont know if anyone has had email comms with Nick recently) leads me to this conclusion.
Could be completely wrong though so do your own research. This is purely my speculation.
A little time and patience and a little less pumping and dumping by daytraders/shorters is all it needs.
It was a great rns and much more to come over the next few weeks and months. It will come good..just hold on. Silly time for anyone to sell imo, unless your trading for small percentages and willing to risk missing out on the sustained rise when it comes.
