Anyone in at 1.10 is feeling some pain, where are all the ramping trolls now? They really ruined this board as much as the negative trolls in my opinion! It's still AIM, so the type of investors this share will get will reflect that, and likely be long gone now having sold >£1 all while talking of multi bags and whatnot. Slow and steady usually wins the race, but out of steam this one certainly is for now.

Caveat: positive news equals rocket/moon/whooshy-whooshy time etc

Still here folks, I admit to being in and out of this one, currently back in with top up this morning at 89p. I think a lot of new investors are probably wondering what all the fuss is about, especially those who woke up 20% down in two days! If so my view (not advice) is it's best to chill out, comfort yourself by re-reading your research and that of others (I.e. any post from McNulty) and hold. If you've invested more than you can afford to lose consider reshaping the amount invested, better to sell at a loss and have food on the table. If you've invested an appropriate amount and are seeing a paper loss, well see my earlier comments!

It's a fair view that this share has now maxed out its potential without news, expect it to dwindle, but if you're out and the news we all want hits...well you'll miss out, simple as that!

All obvious stuff, just some morning thoughts.

GLR, agreed, good post. Kbitz and I - I believe - were just flagging the dilution element and maths behind it. I think we all agree that the underlying value of this co is considerably higher, with potentially game changing news landing imminently. Who 'wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend' then?

I'm just saying, in my experience new shares land and there's typically (and mathematically) more likely to be more being sold than bought. Obv I understand the 'pricing in' effect, it's just with placings there is usually a reaction on the day of listing that's all. I'm only going off of my experience and trying to throw out a reality check for folks! You're essentially attacking me saying no way, price only up, dilution irrelevant!

GLR it sounds like you agree with the maths but you're then stating its undervalued, so unless the market views the company as significantly more valuable tomorrow as opposed to today why won't the share price take a hit?

Except GLR the placing is 18p not 68p, so your investor has bought 50% of your £1 for about 30p, so you now own a 25% share of something worth around £1.30

To entertain your point, as it seems you're clueless to basic arithmetic, someone has already done the calc with new cash being valued at pound4pound increase to market cap, the SP works out at around 59p. It's not hard to understand, nor is it incorrect. In fact it's a fact.

Now if AVCT drop a tasty update tomorrow will they offset the dilution? Absolutely. Will they exceed expectations and SP climb further even with more shares in issuance? It seems extremely likely!

Maj what?? The company value is its market cap? How do you figure each share isn't worth less unless company value goes up when new shares hit?

Apologies if this is viewed as a deramp, it's not intended to be. The placing shares hitting the market represent huge upside for the participants, who are the participants? Does anyone know?? In uncertain times return OF capital far outweighs return ON capital, if the participants are Pension Funds or anything similarly well managed then I would personally wager that they would strip out a fair chunk of their original equity, returns are already made! That said, will they dump the lot tomorrow and crash the price back to where they participated and erase any gain they may have had? Unlikely. Are they likely to spice any amount small or medium? Likely.

The 'dilution' element is just arithmetic, tomorrow there will be more shares in issuance, notwithstanding the cash/equity injection, if the market views the value/mkt cap as the same as today then sp will drop, if it views it as higher then sp will hold or increase, whether it's a balancing act between new shares and market cap increasing by placing is not a certainty in my experience
