A lot more people ( including me ) will be using 'Bed and ISA' if they read the same report in The Times newspaper, as I have just done. I had no idea this change was coming in a few weeks time.
"How much you can earn before paying capital gains tax changed on 6 April 2023. The government cut the threshold from £12,300 to £6,000. The allowance will be cut again to £3,000 in April 2024."
The few shares I have in my trading account from the warrants will now be moved to ISA.

BorntoBouggie ... That Seeking Alpha report is fascinating reading ,,, I particularly like the possible 27 bagger comment.

Interesting article re deploying an FPSO.

It states the following :-
"They have also reached a settlement on an insurance claim relating to costs incurred on the Isobel Deep exploration well during the 2015/16 North Falkland basin exploration campaign. Value is US$90 million (after deductions) on a gross basis."
Has that been mentioned before ... I don't remember reading about it ?
Some news on Falklands defense ,,,, it looks like Argentina are getting more serious about Falklands

If it is the Munin, that Navitas are looking at, it would be ideal at 60 mbpd.

By the time of first oil in 2006, the cost of royalties will probably be more than cancelled out by the increase in the price of oil itself. World population is still increasing and they are not going to be all driving EVs.
I'm afraid I have to completely disagree Alma. If the Falklands were part of the UK then they'd be subject to all the red tape and incompetence of the Govt. Home Office.
They are much better off running their own affairs.

You asked "we have more oil now than 2010 and the OM award so why wouldn’t the share price be higher?"
For one thing, there were only 258 million shares issued back n 2011 ... there are now 640 million issued.
It's ironic that we can access those Falkland Islands Govt. websites far faster than they themselves can. Their internet connections are really slow but because their website is actually hosted in the US, we can access it at full speed. That's something they can sort out once the money starts rolling in.
Off topic.
When I log onto my HL account, after entering passwords etc. , I receive a 5 digit voice code on my land line which I then have to enter onto their web-site.
I've never had a smart phone but if I got one, would I be able to use it to log on to my HL account ?
i.e. is it possible to receive a phone call AND be on the internet at the same time on a smart phone ?
Just a reminder for anyone who made the same mistake as I did when converting RKH warrants with HL,
A few weeks ago I thought that I had put in a request with HL to convert my warrants and I was wandering why it was taking so long.
Today I went through the process again to make sure and realised that I hadn't clicked the 'Confirm' button the first time.
Today I received immediate confirmation as follows:-
"Thank you for providing an instruction for Rockhopper Exploration plc Unlisted Warrants (31/12/23) on our website.
You can review your instructions at any time; simply log in, choose the relevant account, click on the 'Transaction history' tab and select 'Corporate actions' ".
I noted that HL has a deadline of Wednesday 27 Dec/23 for doing this.
