"The Group has decided to explore the options to exit the project and its other license interests in the Falkland Islands".
That's not quite the same as 'walking away' as some seem to think.
Surely they'll try and rescue some of the finances that PMO have poured into the project so far by trying find some-one interested in their share on the cheap ( such as Navitas).
Sorry if someone has already posted this.

At the moment in time, gas is providing most (48.36%) of our energy, wind is only 1.17% and solar is 16.62%.
Without gas we would would be really screwed ... even coal (1.67%) is providing more energy than wind right now.

Sorry ! $22 million not £22 million
A few people on this board seem to think that, because there was an increase in free cash flow of £22 million in August, that it will be about the same for every month from now on (assuming PoO stays the same).
But the off-load is not every month but every 1 1/2 months so free cash flow will probably be nearer to $13.5 million per month average.
N.B. There is no off-load this month ( September ) so free cash flow could be negative.
Interesting article on Shetland Isles on how much they depend on Oil but it looks like Nicola is trying to replace Oil with Turbines.
These turbines will be 509 feet tall ... try to imagine a tower that is 15 times as tall as your average house .. boggles the mind.

Those idiots at XR (Extinction Rebellion) want to close down all Oil & Gas production completely.
At this moment (27/08/2021) , natural gas is providing about 3 times more electricity than Wind and Solar combined.

Why on earth would the Royal Navy be interested in the Falklands ..... there's nothing down there. Portsmouth is closer to the Far East than the Falklands are.

Re. "Greta and the Giants by Zoe Tucker, a story inspired by Greta Thunberg."
I have a confession to make.
When I started this thread, I hadn't really investigated what the book was about .. I just assumed, after seeing Greta's name, that it was about fossil fuels and the Giants were BP, Shell etc.
It turns out that it is about destruction of the forests by mythical giants. But the way that Brazil is destroying the Amazon rain forest or Indonesia is clearing all it's trees is definitely not mythical ... it's scandalous.
Seeing an Orangutan trying to protect his tree from being knocked down by a giant bulldozer was one of the saddest things I've seen for a long time.
Sorry to have misled about the book.
Kate and Jill Biden visited a school in Cornwall today.
"They were told that the children were reading Greta and the Giants by Zoe Tucker, a story inspired by Greta Thunberg."
Looks like the school is trying to brainwash kids against fossil fuels, hoping that they will then tell their parents ... the sooner RKH get the oil out of the ground at SeaLion the better.
