Perhaps the company commissioned to complete the DFS didn’t bother to start it yet, and only just noticed?
Next interview with Keith will be interesting (or possible they’ll just re release one of the old interviews, and put a new date on it?!)
I don’t. The further it falls, the further it needs to come back up on news, which it has always struggled with. Hoping for something ‘game changing’ as much as anyone else here, but will only believe it when I read it!
i don't buy the macro argument for price variation in lithium carbonate. when you have just one global customer (china) locking up so much of the demand, it seems more open to manipulation akin to opec turning up and down supply to suit their game plan. in this case, china want as much as possible, so it makes sense to drive up demand to get projects into the feasibility stage, then crash it to try and force them to sell out due to lack of other investment.
once europe has its own controlled supply, then it becomes much harder for this manipulation on price to occur.
that said, what would really give the supply chain a kick up the ****, would be for the eu to actually make a decision, and form policy to encourage investment immediately, rather than always from some arbitrary point in the future.
as for the uk..
Interesting that there’s still very little interest in buying these though. It says a lot about how many times promises have fallen through.
I wonder if the only thing which will really make any difference here is when processed lithium is being sold.
Keith keeps reiterating the same timescales in recent interview:
- DFS before end of year
- Test results before DFS
- First (cornerstone) offtake before DFS
I think it's all on the line now in terms of credibility - granted, he's already taken the P*** with previous claims of progress, but hopefully this time it'll finally be pushed along by those with the means (CEZ), and the right sway (government).
