And most recent commentary suggesting biggest takeda shareholder is in support of deal and possibly holds enough voting to sanction the deal .. and most of shire shareholders gotta be worried about going back to 30 or less without the deal .. ok it’s a way off .. but .. to drop 1.35 % today is madness surely??

Well spotted .. not sure how this will pan out .. another obstacle on the negative but on the positive implies sale at under value ... but it’s been weeks in negotiation .. surely an argument of not achieving a fair price through not shopping it about is fairly lame .. I’m sure the big players aren’t shy and sit waiting for an invite to the party ??

Hmmm ... but it wasn’t exactly rushed through .. there was plenty of time for an alternative ‘fairer ‘ offer to be made .. is this very grand ambulance chasing or a major shareholder trying to drive a rival bid ... seems bit strange to me

I read an interesting view in ft that said that the immediate sell off by takeda investors could well have signalled a shift in shareholder mentality .. those adverse to upsetting of the status quo bailing and being replaced by more risk tolerant investors looking at significant recovery/improvement to takeda sp .. makes sense

You can hold the shares in an isa but not in foreign currency so there would be Fx conversion by your broker is my understanding .. the fx rate prob between .5 -1.5 % depending on the amount being converted .. I’m not 100 % that all brokers will allow trading on foreign shares within their isa but they do exist

Didn’t I read that the Takeda offer is subject to once accepted by board they have exclusivity??? I don’t know if such s clause is binding but someone posted on this earlier in the thread .. if so can shire look at alt offers ??

Reuters saying 49 with slightly more cash 21.75 and shire to agree extension to 8/5 subject to due diligence both ways
