One of this morning's full price buys was mine. Hopefully, this time(!) it will not turn out to be a fool price purchase - boom boom.

With the chairman buying, some news flow and the price steadily rising things seem, finally, to be on the up. I'm still averaging down like a good 'un with a fair bit to go.

Onward and upwards resoundingly echoed.

What pearls of wisdom did I come out with back in June?

For the avoidance of doubt, I've been here close on eight years and wish I hadn't heard of Scotgold until, say, last month.

Manning up and looking at myself in the mirror to take responsibility for my choice of 'investment' - as advised by your usual foil - hasn't lessened the pain one iota. Weird, huh?

But what's done cannot be undone and tomorrow is another day.

The big boys piling in recently at 27p will probably make a lot of money. Alas, I'm not one of them.

Come on Scotgold - oh, and Rangers tomorrow night!

Only 100% increase to break even? Lucky fellow!

Many of us are in the same ark here but let's assume we get the RNS and there's a whopping and sustained 20% - nay, 30% - rise in the share price. Of what earthly use is that to anyone who's been here for years?

This time next year indeed.

I'm a man and can own up to my own mistakes: it was a massive mistake to have bought shares in Scotgold back in 2011 and since. Nice and clear, eh? No ambiguity there. There's no doubt you are the most knowledgeable poster around and that's appreciated. The share price to date, however, is not. Fingers crossed for a better week and onwards into the future.....but how many times have we all thought that?

Indeed yayay and well done on getting down to such a low average as a long time holder! Certainly the phrase "within my lifetime" takes on a whole new significance for those who discovered Scotgold circa 2011. Still, past performance is no guarantee of future results. Maybe this time it's for real.

Seven years for that funding announcement and the price has rocketed up to a third of a single penny in pre-consolidcation figures. Still, no relentless downward movement is a rare blessing indeed. Will Scotgold's turnaround be swifter and more successful than that of the once-mighty Rangers? lol

An almost 20% rise on less than �10,000 worth of buys. Even with the most welcome news, the volume is still very small. Once the volume seriously cranks up, hopefully we'll see correspondingly big increases in the share price. As a member of 'this odyssey' referred to below, I'm mindful today that I should be grateful for small mercies and all that. :-)

Hi Eck71 and yayay, The concept of 'floor' has had to be continually redefined for this share over the years - still, many of us will have 'taken the opportunity' to average down I suspect. 40p....let's hope so in the short term - but multiples of that would be a lot nicer. This time!
