A six month delay is down to more than EU bureaucracy.

No-one has yet been able to answer my question as to whether these funds remain payable to INFA should the IslandMagee project fall over. I suspect not, in which case I would do exactly as the EU are doing, were I in their shoes. Given the likely fatally parlous state of the company's finances (thanks, JW!), just sit tight and wait either for the gas storage project to collapse, due either to the lack of the necessary licence or simply through running out of cash, or for INFA simply to go bust in its entirety. Thanks again, JW.

After all, what is INFA going to do - sue the EU? Good luck funding that action...

So a turbulent week on the markets gives JW a free pass on yet another failure to deliver (or lie, as you prefer...)?

I agree that hydrogen has a massive part to play in the future greening of the global economy, particularly in regard to transport. I expect more vehicles to be powered by hydrogen than by electricity in ten years' time.

If we are getting our facts in order, the vote was on the 29th November, not the 30th...

I expressed myself poorly, for which you have, correctly, pulled me up.

In reality, the vote was a formality; the acquisition and massive dilution were a fait accompli. Private investors who are currently hurting had no say in this complete change of direction for the company.

Fair play, you are a braver person than me.

The only circumstances under which I would have approved of the H&W acquisition would involve the sighting of a guarantee, written in blood, that the government, at some level, had INFA's back. In fact, this is my one abiding hope for the company and the reason why I haven't eaten my 60% loss. Probably hoping in vain, as surely some news of this ilk would have been dropped by now. I appreciate that some things must remain political- or commercial-in-confidence, but all we see at present is the haemorrhaging of cash, cash which has had to be borrowed at punitive rates.

Had it been put to the vote, how many share-holders would have been in favour of the acquisition of H&W, funded via massive dilution?

The more rational contributors to this forum are still questioning why, in the name of all that is holy, Infrastrata bought (or rather, hocked themselves to the leg-breakers) H&W in the first place and what the blazes is happening with the supposed anchor project that is IslandMagee...

When your only option is to turn to the leg-breakers for money, you really have run out of road.

Was any explanation given for the non-arrival of the funds in September, given that John was so confident in his broadcast interview that payment would be made then?
