I think the goodness is priced in and I can't see the future forecasts living up to expectations. So I expect the sell on new brigade to bring it down temporarily. Then it can climb back up over the next few weeks

That's poor form from ACC. It's tough to tell much about a person from an online message board but he seemed like a genuine poster and I was impressed with his calls one this share a few times.

I did question his charting as I always have with any chartist. In the face of very positive or negative news charts go out of the window. ACC was very sure that wasn't the case and did call this going down when I saw the long term prospect of the company being pretty positive from where the SP is currently.

Even the short term I questioned him about this not rising into the results date and also the date where the passenger cap would be removed but he was adamant that it would drop on the 21st when the US CPI's are coming to an end.

I hadn't commented on his absence as I thought maybe he was just away from a computer or internet/sick etc.. Now that he's deleted his account though it says to me he was not genuine. If I'd made bold predictions like he did I'd be on here owning up to being wrong.

Do you not think that's already factor'd in Jtan? We already know how much they're going to announce they have made.

I'm not sure it's a bad day for shorters yet. It's not over and this, along with most other stocks, looks to be in reverse.

I see what you're saying about Scotty pointing out the SP turning but it works both ways. I'd rather not see comments over small share price movements in a very short time. I had to close my shorts early on yesterday for a loss of around £400 as I have no clue where this is going in the short term. The short term spike from the results is already baked in now IMO as they have announced what the profits will be. Only a very good future forecast will drive this hard in the short term.

Even with a good forecast though there's so much going on that's external to IAG that can drag is down I'm not spread betting it currently. Maybe the government U-Turns on policies and people see it as a good thing because there's more certainty. Maybe the gov say they're u turning on corp tax and investors get a little spoked. Then there's all the FED action in the US. Who knows. I know I don't

Sund. Can you pack it in telling us every-time you enter an airport? We care as much about that as we do about you bragging every other day about how you fly premium/first class and that you have loads of money.

I short what I'm familiar with. Things I think I can spot patterns with. So I tend to learn about a stock a hang around it for a while until I think I need to move on. I've been burnt in the early days doing this by moving into stocks I don't understand.

For the record. I think long term, IAG is a good bet. That doesn't mean I'd not like to make some money along the way though and nothing goes up in a straight line.

I'm not saying I will achieve this. That's just my goal which I see as achievable (hopefully).

Why? Because they were in profit and I could see this was going to turn. So now I can open them again when this goes a little higher.

Do you actually know how spreadbetting works sund or are you just going to keep quoting that 77% stat? It's probably true because 77% of people just think it's easy to make money but you need to be disciplined.

My shorts made me just under £500 as they were a total of £200 a point. if I could make £500 a day that's £125k a year tax free on top of my full time job. I'm not an liar though so I'm not going to claim I will make £500 a day but if I can clear £30k profit for the year that's a nice to boost to my full time wage.

Kwateng's announcement that the debt plan is being brought forward will likely prop up the market today. I just closed some small shorts I had on this at 98.45 with a view to re-entering if this goes to 101+ again.

Most of us value your opinion.

There are a lot of other factors in play. Read the posts below for a glimpse into some of them. Plus, the cap hasn't actually come off yet. They could well delay it once more.

AC: what about the non technical factors. Do you take them into account.

Results due at the end of the month which will show a profit and possibly a dividend (doubtful but a possibility)
Passenger cap being lifted at the end of the month
Pound coming out of its slump and general improvement in the markets meaning people have more (or at least think they do) money to spend on holidays.

So I see you warning about the end of the month going to dip badly but you're ignoring those things above. Surely they will have an impact on the SP?
