yes gaslady, it is still there, and i'm guessing the new proposed 2D seismic for this years work program, will be covering that prospect

I'm thinking that if CH-1 is successful, then we could reasonably expect 40 mmcfd and say 30 mmcfd from NT-2 after a clean-up, and the 20 mmcfd of NT-2, would I believe be sufficient to proceed with pipe-line to the processing plant. so we could be in production in 1-2 years ?

yes, and to think we went into drilling NT-2 with the Caroil 2 drilling rig, and we were lucky Aminex came out of the well still standing. yes that was some pressure and I think it scared the pants off of them.

yes, well I suppose that depends on rig availability and where the rig is, someone, I can't recall his name, was saying that a Sakson land rig 604 I think was in Kenya after finishing drilling there. I guess Sakson group still stands to drill the Chikumbi-1 well.

yes Crusty, and I would had thought AEX/APT was getting the heads-up by certain officials well before yesterdays announcement, so no doubt would had passed on to drilling rig operators etc to make preparation's as soon as. so yes I do think things could move very quickly. : )

I wonder if that now the Ruvuma licence extension has been granted and the new work program agreed, might this not mean that the former securities the Government held over the Kiliwani North Development Licence have been rescinded, and that any reason or justification government officials have had for holding back payment of the $6.7 million of outstanding receivables have ceased, making them now liable to pay. I think maybe Aminex was alluding to this in there Feb update RNS.

Kiliwani Gas Receivables

"Aminex is in discussion with the Tanzanian government authorities to secure payment of the outstanding receivables owed for gas sales from the Kiliwani North gas field that amount to approximately US$6.7 million (gross) excluding interest. This is finally being progressed after the return of senior government officials who have recognised their obligations and are making efforts to resolve the matter. A meeting has been scheduled and we hope to be in a position to update shareholders soon."

FORMAL ADDENDUM TO RUVUMA PRODUCTION SHARING AGREEMENT

"The Addendum allows for the remaining obligations under the First Extension Period to be completed in the Second Extension Period, as previously announced by the company on 30 May 2013. The amended agreement requires four wells to be drilled by the end of 2016. In conjunction with the amended obligations to the Ruvuma PSA, the Company has granted TPDC (Tanzanian Petroleum Development Corporation) and the Government certain securities over Kiliwani North Development Licence on a sliding scale basis. As each of the wells is drilled the security reduces and when all four wells are drilled the Government and TPDC will no longer have any further security over the Kiliwani North Development Licence."

this belongs with my last post. I think things are going to move quickly from now on, and I like the fact that this year they are committed to "Complete the negotiation of the Gas Terms for the Ruvuma PSA"

"The extension, which was applied for in late 2017, is valid for one year. Under the terms of the extension the Company, through the Ruvuma PSA Joint Venture, is committed to perform the following works during the extension period:"

-- Acquire 200 square kilometres (surface coverage) of 3D seismic (min. expenditure of US$7 million)
-- Drill the Chikumbi-1 exploration well (min. expenditure of US$15 million)
-- Complete the negotiation of the Gas Terms for the Ruvuma PSA with the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation
-- Using the data gathered from Chikumbi-1 and the seismic acquisition, prepare and submit an application for a Development Licence for the Ntorya Location area.
