Crawshaw, without looking at the overall costs and end gain. Couldn’t possibly say. I’m sure there are other stocks out there that will give a better short return. If you asked about MW, then yes ofcourse. They got it right. Anyway… LTH turn and I’m sure we will far exceed 40 percent.

4th May 23.

So Eleva publicly opened a short on 4th May.

Opening Price 49.85 on that day.

Increased their percentage overtime whilst the sp was dropping.

Give or take they made 20p earnings minus fees etc. not sure whether their hassle was worth it.

My opinion of shorters is that they either buy back when they realise the bottom has been reached finally or the lender of the shares has requested the shares back. To me, these are both positive signs from an investor pov. If the shorts know there’s no further milking to be done, exit is the only logically answer as “Time is money”. Boohoo family have publicly voiced their new path. No hedge fund in a clear mindset will short this share at this point in time unless they are gambling and not using sound financial evidence.

Not quite sure how the Ks jump ship leaving the PIs out? Care to explain this one?

MA lost out on Debenhams in the past. He then lost on Topshop recently… do we think MA is going play a low hand card to buy Debenhams and risk losing it again? C’mon people…. MA won’t be doing stupid things for the third time. He may get away with paying rock bottom prices for other brands outside boohoo but he will not get this far and screw it up again. Imo

I think PIs will start selling their shares anyway once the sp moves north past 60p to £1.

I don’t think Kamani will screw the PIs over. A he doesn’t have the capital. B he ain’t going to be someone’s B***h. C he is banging the “Shareholder” drum. My hunch is they know what they are worth and now have admitted indirectly they can’t handle all the brands. He is clearly happy to keep the ones he can cope with. He is I’m sure half a billion down on his holding anyway which I’m sure he would like to recover some of it back. These guys need public investors …. Private equity will be the one to screw him over. Imo

I think the offers are already on the table. Kamani snd Karen have already made their plan A and Plan B decision. They are waiting to execute once the funds are available but the investors I.e Frasers. I think I told this bb before…. This is an old plan of the kamanis to sell to Frasers and SHEIN. JL leaving is because all of the brands except Boohoo, boohoo man, PLT and maybe Nastygal will be gone. Umar k will be the group CEO of these brands. The M&A will likely be done fairly quickly based on the CGT new rules coming into force. Share price will top £1 plus very quickly. I’m telling you all this as my own opinion and nothing else.

Boohoo have the WANTED brands. They will generate enough capital through divestments. Boohoo need to offload and re-size the company with a new focus. Spinning all these plates is not going to work. Debenhams will not leave Boohoo unless circa £350m plus is offered. Karen Millen may be the first to go. SHEIN will make offers for the smaller brands, probably starting with Nastygal, coast etc. boohoo will end up with boohoo, boohoo man, PLT. All imo

Never a good idea for a ceo to lose their seat. Having said that, JL tried his upmost and atleast didn’t see the business fall under. Fair play to him and I’m sure he feels like he needs to reset also mentally. As for the Kamanis…. They now admit they need to increase shareholder value through proof not just bogus updates around targets. As a shareholder I actually don’t care what they keep or sell as long as my investment gives me a positive return. They have been backed up by shareholders for years and patiently waited. Time now has come to get a slice.
