Whilst feeling sorry for innocent people hurt and killed, it is refreshing to have a President who sees that doing nothing and merely hoping that evil people will change if we give more, or try to be nice and wrongly expect them to change if we appease such, be it individuals in our midst or other countries will never, ever work.

President Trump does what the majority of the electorate require from an elected leader, and whilst the West has slowly but surely allowed the wrongly assumed nice people to run everything from schools to prisons to the leaders of the Western world, the rest of the globe have used and abused this perceived kindness, seen by them and individual as just what it is, a weakness to be exploited to the max, and then some.

So whilst likely this will be the catalyst to bring down the markets, and no doubt even the almost entirely UK based Lloyds, the price we pay, will be more than worth it for the message the great President sends out the the freeloaders, takers, and those destroying the West inwardly and militarily planning to do so outwardly, that ONE leader, and sadly only one, has at last seen the light, and is doing something about the malaise that infests the populations of all Western nations.

Their electorate seems more concerned with tat than caring and seeing what risks are threatening their cosy lives, be it drugs, terrorists, warfare and all pacified to keep them in ignorance by the wet brigade insisting that do change such is not being nice, when it is they who aid and abet most of the horrors we have to deal with nowadays which were rare pre the lets be kind to all and they will be nice to us, mass brainwashing failed agenda. They see it as weakness not kindness to exploit

Keep hold of your nuggets and krugerrands, and lets hope the Presidents strength will pay big dividends in the long term of the Wests very survival.

She is factoring in higher unemployment as daily more craft unload thus burdening the already struggling workers of this nation with taxes being used to do what Bob Geldof did as a charity, but now the choice of giving is removed by this and the last Government. His plan was only to feed for a while, but HMG via us have to now build costly homes, on which we will pay the rent as well as the building cost, and feed, and treat, and educate, so this will prevent UK growth as money that could be used to invest in the UK will be spent on supporting, not only our own, but now the worlds needy, that were once the remit of charity by choice, but now a never ending, growing burden upon us all.

Lloyds being so UK focused will be more effected by such than other banks so she feels that the share price will fall as the costs spiral with less paying in but more taking out.

More building will then cull the shortage of homes, thus cause property prices to rise less, or even to fall. All grim for Lloyds, should rent caps be imposed and more stringent costly criteria for Landlords then she feels that shareholders will be funding additional costs not management.

If Russia seeks revenge and uses the UK to target knowing the US and more certainly EU won't back us up, then her 82 predict will be reduced somewhat.

Sticky, can't disagree there, but conversely can't imagine too many willing to buy as should the pound be met, the next target is less visible but who knows.

I just find it a tad worrying after a large rise to see pundits still calling for larger increases to come, on what basis, other than inflation, and growing debt I can't really foresee.

However I never saw this years rise, so maybe they are right, if we knew for sure, we would all act accordingly and be so wealthy we wouldn't be snipping on here all year either. Good luck in the New Year with your investments.

Sticky, on very thin volumes most shares are twitchy in price, and Lloyds nearing the much awaited pound, especially so. Wouldn't read too much into it. Anyway, with years of inflation, the pound is now the new fifty pence.

Perhaps that higher prices is the reason why shoplifting has grown so much in London reading the shocking stats out today. But then again as we all know only the ballot box is thus available to allow peoples assumptions of more fitting reasons of damage blame.

One good thing Labour have done is creating stricter rules and laws on animal cruelty. Sadly I expect the fox hunting etc will still continue with impunity but any highlighting of the cruelty has got to be good.

Unsure if the banning of boiling Lobsters alive will be feasible but hopefully ways to ease any prolonged pain will be found. No doubt those saying a prayer before killing in any chosen methods will be spared Government interference in a two tier democracy.

Perhaps now, we will only eat Lobster which has died from old age. Best look after our teeth if such policies are taken onboard to include Cows and other livestock.

I wonder how many people sell Lloyds as any prolonged break over the festive period is fearful in this world nowadays. Silver seems to be where the smart money is or has been heading, but for how long, and why is questionable. Could be due to it normally lagging gold, or maybe more to do with the new lithium batteries needing silver to make them good for hundreds of extra miles between charges and allowing very rapid charging making it a game changer for EV's. Who knows, not I.

Sticky, my point was that as your correctly point out, that you have little sympathy with people living beyond their means, well so does the Labour Government.

Any parent would love to borrow to give their family all they desire, but they either can't as seen as a bad risk so no lender will risk loans, or they are honest with themselves fully knowing they will never be able to repay the debt as they can barely afford to live now, so they don't borrow even more just to be nice.

But Labour or any Government know they can borrow more, even if it pushes up yields, as the chances of them still being in power by the time the increased debt effect has filtered through is unlikely, and if they are in, they can always blame the previous Government, or world political issues to mitigate blame. An individual can't do that, so the Government can be reckless with others picking up the tab for their wrongly perceived kindness to all, when, in reality, they are harming all unless that borrowing is used to make us all eventually better off, so far neither party has achieved on that front for a long while, and seems to far gone for any party to do so.

Most countries like many people have only become wealthy by being hard, taking unjust or unpleasant actions, not by being nice, if it were that simple then we would all be applauding such and welcoming more spending on unfortunates, not fearing such, as many have seen it all before.

None can disagree that Lloyds share price has risen well this year. But many rightly question the reasons and lasting momentum or sustainability of the increase.

If an individual is in debt, can't afford to fix their home, can't afford to feed their children or pay for their education, health care etc, and that individual was to get a large loan, they suddenly could rebuild their home, give more food and care to their children and pay for their education and care, and everything would be lovely, for a while.

But unless that individual also had increased their income to fund this additional debt, within a short while, their poverty would become worse than it was before for all of the household.

So the seemingly wealthier period just on spending more is not the answer for long term happiness. To do that the borrowed money needs to be invested to create enough money to cover the extra costs of the loan and to generate enough cash to improve life on a sustainable basis.

So most who have know individuals who live on growing debt, taking out another loan to cover the past loans, understand how it ends, and Labour have a history of this, hence the fear that by the time the feel good factor of extra money in the economy is lost, the repayments will still be with us for decades to come.

I am sure however that the Conservatives would be no better, hence the lack of faith in MP's of any party fixing the problems we now have. Being nice is costly and when the cost has to be met, those benefiting from the niceness will find that more, not less will be in need of help too.

Hence my concern for Lloyds future growth prospects as spending others money is easy, prob is they want it back and then some.

Lloyds surely must lack future momentum what with interest rates being cut, slimming margins, and whilst such should mean less are likely to default on their mortgage, the fear factor of being made homeless is now so lessened by a socialist Gov by forcing banks to give reduced payments, breaks etc, that more people may consider holidays, new car, takeaways, eating out, etc as essentials before paying the mortgage as their top of priorities knowing full well that banks will bend over backwards to keep them in their homes rather than evict as it wouldn't sit well with HMG then having to find homes for them as they are in over demand daily from those with even less means to pay their way in life.

Clued, No, I realise that so long as one person requires any kind of medical treatment, or one building needs the most minor repairs in Ukraine, that the nice, kind people in the UK, happy to see others money spent there, would never allow any Rosneft cash to seep into BP's coffers.

Perhaps UKOG share owners could stump up £2 for each share they own and buy us out, having 28billion shares now in issue.

Such a shame to watch the share price stumble around, we all assumed the Gulf disaster was one of the largest disasters to hit, but a death by a thousand cuts I guess is to be expected with the western world getting greener, thus giving more profit, and business to those countries who are happy to make and sell green tech, but even happier to use cheap fossil fuels to ensure that they remain competitive to quash any hope of the West providing its own future production of such.

Thank God for President Trump, the only leader with bottle to try, but no doubt in vain, to at least do more that talk to attempt to address the West's demise or at least slow such.

Would have assumed that should this takeover rumour have any truth in it, BP would have risen before the likes of pi's had wind of such. Be just our luck to be taken over, and that company then to be paid back all the Rosneft accumulated wealth.

I would imagine that if the returns are a great as this was bigged up to be, then the Americans will drag the permits out as long as they can to try to get the company for themselves by stringing the company along after delaying all they can. Perhaps it is the company themselves stringing the shareholders along to know that they will do a deal to sell off their interest that we will know only what we are told about, as they run out of investors money but get a huge payoff by some diverse means in the future or a seat on the takeover board.

We can all guess or surmise but a mine which is supposed to be rich in copper, with gold and silver in a safe country who needs and wishes to fund it's own mines if everything was to go as expected would be a lot higher than the pitiful share price it is, and funding if so good would be no problem. So something here is not right.

Typical aim no brainer, plenty of choices of such with each one 'being different' this time, until it isn't. The initial ramper moving on to do the same spiel to the next bunch of hopefuls on another miner, oily or dead cert.

The FCA are soon to allow contactless card payment limits to be made at the discretion of banks, thus creating a dangerous issue for the lenders shareholders. For if a bank don't raise or indeed remove limits when other banks do, then customers may choose other banks who do have less stringent limits.

Yet to remove or raise the amounts that can be spent on contactless cards raises the real issue of any lost, stolen or faked cards spending then becoming a problem for the bank to pay in full, not the card owner.

So with all the delightful people we now have in our midst, I assume fraud payments will rise to much higher levels. Almost seems like the FCA who are to allow this, along with the soon to be announced DCA redress, don't care if spending other people's money occurs, so long as it is bank shareholders not HMG who then foot the bill, with the latter gaining by increased consumer spending, even if it is fraudulent stolen money being spent.

A dangerous move, and surely not too much effort for buyers to key in three or four digits to reduce lost or stolen cards to a minimum of abuse.

The costs will come, no doubt from shareholders allocation of profit income, not the boards salaries.

Sticky, my guess is they will rise initially, but when people who are barely able to take on more debt then do so, because it is more affordable, the can of worms will take a little while longer to crawl out of the can to be seen by all.

All debt ends with banks and the shareholders of such, be it deferred debt when the indebted are given breaks or longer periods to pay off their debt, or totally written off, or the value of all the properties on Lloyds books becoming devalued by struggling people unable to pay their way fully without help thus curbing demand for home buying as belts are tightened for those wishing to get out of the rent trap.

The increased amount of people requiring a home in the UK may have swelled inorganically, but as almost all of these needy have nothing, the housing demand for such, in monetary terms, then falls on those with the wherewithal to fund such, thus ensuring their disposable income drops along with their living standards.

So whilst a natural growing demand for housing was once clearly good for Lloyds, the inability for ever more people to fund their choice of demanding a home in the UK is not, unless fully funded by the future inhabitant of said property be it purchased or rented.

As it is , not only do HMG have to fund the building of these homes ,but very often they then have to pay all the rent as well, or huge proportions of such, and for HMG, read taxpayers, as no Government uses their own wealth to do so.

So Sticky, imo, yes and no is the answer depending on time frames.

Harleygreen. Perhaps, but I doubt it, that at least the BBC will learn a lesson from this. Years ago the news was broadcast seemingly without slant or bias, allowing the viewer to make of it what they themselves concluded.

Now it seems to be weighted which one expects from the newspapers but people who bought such papers mostly did so because it suited their beliefs and feelings to read something they were sure to agree with. Yet the BBC had a reputation for being straight, unbiased & honest, that seems tarnished to many people now.

Perhaps now we are just more cynical, or maybe we are smarter than we were and can see we are as played as the Russians and Chinese who we used to think were the only ones who were misinformed through a Government mouth piece.

Let us all hope that Lloyds share price doesn't sink too low as we may need a little extra to fund our television licences now as President Trump understandably chooses to pursue those who deliberately tried to slur him with carefully edited footage.

Looks like Santa won't be visiting Lloyds for a rally now & with unemployment rising, & the huge growing choice that dishonest employers now have to pay peanuts to for those not akin to breaking laws from the get go to get more money without being taxed or have their benefits reduced.

Whilst such suits both the employer and the cash in hand receiver, it is unfair on those businesses who do pay wages NI and pensions along with insurance etc to their staff, giving the crooked an unfair advantage. Cash is king for the workers who can still claim benefits, rent and council tax so more disposable income than many honest workers now, which causes disharmony between the two.

Is there any possibility that the Gov could nationalise the mine if pressure from Trump to ensure a safe supply silver is deemed to risky to be left in private hands of near neighbouring countries if pressure or persuasion is afford to that Government?

Only ask as here rumours of such actions should silver be the source of the fast charging long lasting EV batts coming up?

I guess you can understand the Doctors wanting more, as anyone with a skill after years of training now sees the most useless who have not bothered to listen and learn at school being offered, as a couple on minimum wage £ 1080 a week . I know of several plumbers & sparks who if working for a company see the wages from those who take easy low intellect jobs catching up with their incomes yet they have huge responsibilities, go on long courses etc to earn a better wage & have had to have years at College to get quals.

So this levelling up works for the low end very well, but it makes the middle & higher earners seem it is levelling down.

When in Cuba, the guy on the beach said he was a trained Doc, but as he only gets the same wage as he was earning for taking tourists on boat trips, he chose the latter, (no doubt gets tips, not germs.

Those with children here are often better off or as well off not working as rent, council tax all subsidised by HMG for doing nothing.

So those just above or below feel miffed at having to turn out in cold weather, doing unpleasant jobs & being little or no better off now.

So unsure how this effects Lloyds shares, but the policy is causing dissatisfaction amongst many workers now who feel they are undervalued, and or carrying the parasitic in our society. Not good for morale of the UK to have a bitter workforce & a cosseted non working or minimum 16 hours pw working population.

One would not necessarily deem that lloyds share price increase is all to do with a more stable environment. Much of the increase in share price is due to years of high inflation reducing the buying power of the pound, making everything more costly. Then factor in the years of buying back it's own shares.

Consider too the forced increase in demand for homes in the UK keeping rents and house prices higher than they otherwise would need to be, and that will explain a huge percentage of the share price increase rather than praising a party for a higher share price, except of course for the swerve of an increased bank tax in this budget.

Fear not guys, for the reason that silver is rising is all here. No small wonder that the board has skinned themselves back to the flesh
