I clicked the link supplied by Upside and scrolled to the bottom and found this on the latest news. It's just a shame our judges can't be allowed to sentence people to what they want..... LATEST NEWS » Angry judge gives teen 50 years for aggravated robbery LUBBOCK - An angry Jim Bob Darnell sentenced the 17-year-old head of a residential robbery crew to 50 years in prison for his role in an October 2012 home invasion.
Just 4 weeks now hopefully before we see our dreams come true, or dashed depending on your view. But I'm certainly looking forward to it regardless. Onto the MRI results..... I went into hospital thinking about the dreaded reaction if it wasn't good news, but it seems those plans are to be put on the back burner. Once the scan was on the screen, my Dr saw straight away what the problem was. I have a compressed nerve pinching on the sciatic nerve. It is also very inflamed which also makes it very sensitive. Although it has been identified it is not going to kill all the pain but will however certainly reduce it and that means cutting back on the opiates resulting in a hopefully brighter day to day living experience. The op is planned for 2 months time. I will also not clog up this board with my personal problems no longer, but just a update after the op. Thanks for all your continued support of me, it means more than you can imagine. Plaza
Thanks pal. Had a bad day yesterday pain wise but this morning seems to better thus far. But regardless, means a lot for your reply.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my questions. I get what you mean and I guess if given the option of soonish or July, then July everytime. Vegas, ahhh so good they named it twice, or was that New York..... Anyways, unless something major appears on my MRI on Thursday coming it looks like I'm going to miss the Shenanigans. Having been yearly for the last 6 yrs or so it looks like i'm going to have to admit to myself that I just cant do it physically. It kills me to think that at just 46 i'm toast regardless if MTA reaches 20p or 2p. It no longer matters to me, I cant spend it when I get it. I hope for your sakes anyways, you get that penthouse...... Good Luck kind Sir Plaza
I was worth a bit of money full stop. Curious as to why you say July and not the day we re open though. Or do you believe once admitted that it will slowly claw it's way northwards rather than sprint up? But you are correct, another goes by and it's getting closer and closer. Ohhhhh the excitement is killing me.......
I got what you meant. I am actually positive and pretty calm as well, even if it doesn't jump straight away, or it takes it's time over 12 months I don't really care too much now, but just as long as Matra keeping doing what there doing that will be good for me. It's if things start to nose dive, and I know it can happen even to the best of companies then that would be cause for concern. But obviously I would like to see something happen once reopened of course I would, who wouldn't??? I've not so much averaged down as such it's just what I hold at 1p, so if it's 2p then it's doubled etc etc I did hold about 4 million at some stage, but now it's just 2.2 million. I have also decided to go with my gut. I mentioned sometime late last yr about some footballer who built a company up from nothing and sold out to sky for £330 million. He's now back and looking to build another empire and so I took a stab at 0.23 for a grand. Roll on 4 months and that's almost doubled now, and things are falling into place with directors and funding via 2 backers. They have percentages in smaller companies and word is it's not too long before they themselves go for a RTO. So I have sold out everything apart from MTA and going to add CHA Chocha Into my shares ISA before year end, and depending on the state of play with MTA I would be looking to add another full whack again into my shares ISA and then that's me done. But can't help wonder after all that just where will MTA close on the first day of play. It would be a bonus if they announce some other deal between now and then. I mean surely they wouldn't all be hands on in Texas would they??
Yes it's getting nearer and nearer and I'm starting to feel the tingling in my body. Just how much will She blow once reopened...... I just hope to god the market likes the deal, and with the added bonus of the £ / $ 10 million coming into play as well next month ( if of course we meet there requirements re the oil ). So it's understanding that I and no doubt other holders start taking more notice in Matra. It really can be a game changer for me, but I'm still pleased to hold if it doesn't take off once reopened. 2p doubles my investment, and so on and so on. But I have my exit point and now in no rush to hit that figure. But overall I would love to see 6p b4 end of this year wouldn't I Stav :-0 Off topic for this. But those who follow my ongoing fight with life every day of every week will be pleased to hear that I was sent for further MRI & X-Rays last week and I'm due to meet the consultant on the 20th of this month to go over both images. Although I'm not expecting miracles basically because I have already had both these done after the surgery 3 1/2 yrs ago, only to find nothing visible, but maybe just maybe they could find the cause or find something at least to go on, so it's gearing up to be a possible life changer on the 20th, and of course I will update you once I know something myself. But it's with regret that the new drug that everyone thought was again a life changer turned out to be useless for me. I say useless, I'm still increasing the dosage to what the hospital want me to take, but already on 66% and I feel nothing but pain and in fact the last 2 weeks or so have been pretty bad with pain levels not experienced for a long time, long time being 3 years or so. But that's down to reducing my opitates by 5% every 2 weeks which is what the hospital want me to do, although getting down to 50% is probably never going to happen if the nerve medication continues to fail me.
In response to your find, it's clear that the team he has with him including himself have really done there homework. But I'm a believer that MB knew about all this technology when he was working for that massive oil company, who's name eludes me at present. It's fair to say they would have had some sort of knowledge even back then about this, and ok it may of been in some sort of infancy, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they had some idea of it. But it's good to know there is only one winner in this deal and it ain't the selling team either.... I'm just looking forward to the day we are back in play. Ok it might take a while for the price to settle, but I'm going nowhere fast just yet, unless of course you've been following my targets. Be it in 6 weeks or 60 weeks I don't care.
Thanks for the advice re top slicing, but those are long term. I hold ECR which is my 2nd largest holding after MTA, then DOR and BMN and also took a punt on CHA after reading about the guy who started from scratch and sold out to sky for £330 million. I took a punt of £1000 and it's doubled in price on last weeks figures. It's dropped back a bit but again it's long term and for the obvious reasons. If I had any cash free I have my eye in RR. Which crashed and is currently below the £10.00 a share, with it dropping from the £12.00's. They have a order book of 71 Billion so there not going anywhere. It's not even bottomed out yet, which could be perfect for me if MTA re open and the price is good. Failing that I have power of attourny on my grans life savings of £70k which could be good for a quick 10%. Be good when we do reopen and all the crowd and no doubt some new people to chat to on a daily basis on here..... How long is it ...
Thanks fella for the reply and explanation of the images, and defo good times if we actually get those Carson permits. I'm trying very hard not to get carried away, but all the signals are good from where I see, let's hope the sentiment is shared once we reopen. Thanks again.
Bakoven, sorry for my in ept or lack of understanding, but those links for the best wells, are they anywhere near Matra's location? I've done a little research on today's drilling techniques and how much cheaper it is, some say by 90% cheaper and they can also get to oil where in the past they couldn't or thought the wells had dried up. If Max knows his stuff, he could be landing us one of the deals of the decade. Defo exciting times ahead, and I hope we do actually get phase 3 all done with no hiccups, we'll not major anyway..... RICH - nice to see you old timer and good luck with your SOLG. I was in there and again on the spike and got rid cos I wanted to pile in ECR and DOR. But I see DOR was up almost 50% yesterday, and that's with no RNS. Also the main man over at ECR bought a million shares yesterday for the full ask, and I don't think he's bought them to lose money...... Oh the fun and games and we still have MTA.... Has the deal been done, are we going to be looking for that bungalow soon? Who knows, but I have 12 months left in this share, and i hope to god he turns us into that medium size oil company he spouted out when he first arrived. But meh, let's just see what happens. A year is a long time in life, so let's keep trying to be fit and see what happens. Good health to you sir! Pony - nice to see the sandwich email tells are still in good working order, and at least 1 person is in the office. If only we had an RNS about another deal hey, hell if that was to happen I think I would I'd have to think of moving abroad to avoid the CGT people !! Time for sleep, got carried away with my new toy, I bought a iPad air, I couldn't get on the other iPad cos wifey was always on eBay or Amazon browsing....... This is suppose to have a 32 hr battery life, hmmmmm jury still out on that.
The last I saw of him he was wrecking peoples head with his superior intelligence over on another BB on here. I can't recall which it was, but you get some idea of the posters ripping him or trying to rip him to bits, but Mr I have a memory like an elephant wasn't buckling under the torrent of abuse hurled in his direction. On to MTA, I somewhat feel lost these days, with the suspension still in place. I check everyday to make sure because I don't want to miss the boat if the price is right. However after reading bits on the LGO board its hard to see or predict exactly where we are going to close on the 1st day back. Will we get an RNS the day before letting us know so we can be prepared for the invasion of the Share brigade that will almost certainly clog up this board with the expected hike in the share price......?
Sorry fella. Ur right I misunderstood. Won't be long now though.
Nicely worked out and I want to say thanks or taking the time to do it. Kadsup does have a point, but I would not use the words he had, which come across as a tad nasty given the work you put in to the post with the figures. I appreciate anybody going to the trouble to try and best guess what if, combined with that and minus this. But moving on, it is interesting to see your figures and what the price of this deal could be based on your figures. It surely crushes some of the higher price guesses, and way off my guess of £4 odd :-0 I hope you're way off personally, but thats me hoping for a lot more. But been chatting with wifey and its been decided that I keep to my plan and see where we are in 12 months. I think in 12 months time we will know and see a bigger picture with Matra, and fingers and toes crossed get a multi bagger....... Yes I know before anybody shoots me down. But I can dream can't I.... All I know is I'm glad i'm rather than out !!
Makes sense now then.Although I did check his history and found nothing related to UEN unless its from another BB. To be perfectly honest, I only replied cos there was nothing else to reply to. Its just a waiting game now till the Admission Doc is presented. But you have to check daily incase it does become a open share again. I wouldnt want to miss the boat as the saying goes. Although it would be nice to hear about another deal being made if there not ALL busy over in Texas. That would be the icing on the cake if it was to happen. Ok back to sleep I must go. Have a gr8 weekend chaps
Why does it matter who Matra sold the Soke oil field to? They paid the going rate so whats it matter. I'm not falling into something I said dont do myself, but everyone even you is entitled to there opinion. But again, you say, once the RTO goes through we are going to get fked again. How can it when its been so detailed by independent advisors who state there findings are correct as stated. You can not even say about the tile defects coming into play because its such a very small percentage and the cost has been reduced to pay to compensate for the defects. But It's a tad strange that even the worlds best in this field of work have not come forward to say it is a real bad deal? Until such time I see those remarks by more than 1 expert I will continue to support and not afraid to hold my over 2 million shares...... Just do me a favour, come back in 12 months and please tell me how much I'm worth re my shares in MTA.... If its below 1p I will sell up and transfer the cash into ur bank account, on 1 condition, you shut the fk up till then..
Why do you bite? Let him / her have there little game. Who cares what he or anyone says for that matter. If you have done your research and bought into the company via shares you have nothing to worry about. If it goes below 1p like Herbert predicts then its a simple hold and you do not have to worry about anything. And if it turns out that well above that 1p then salute him when your in the sun sipping a nice cold beer. Simples !!!
Like looney says, some friend...... You must be out of pocket if you bought in yrs ago, so yes some friend! But on a serious note, no one knows what the opening price will be, or the first day closing price will be. Best guesstimate is 3p. That way I think your not going to be upset to much if it's a bit lower than that, and of course, if by chance it is more, then better still. But sit tight and enjoy the ride, or better still put um back in ya draw and come back again in 3 yrs.......
The potential economic value of the above Reserves will, in part, depend on the Company's chosen field development plan and operating strategy which has prepared and is currently being evaluated. I did see this, but like it says it depends on how Matra proceed. I'm no expert so it was pointless me chirping on about something I know nothing about. I mealy wait and see what others say about it, but deep down no one knows until it gets released. I'm hoping they sell it on without touching it to be honest, but like Bakoven states, this could just be a stepping stone to bigger and better deals and use this to get into the zone so to say. I do admit, I'm liking our side bet very much from where I'm standing........ Come on Barkskiy I need it to be 6p by year end plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh and 15p by end 2015!
Yes I pInched it from III. Having last summer sold up its assets in Russia, AIM small cap Matra Petroleum continues its reinvention as an oil and gas investing company. Rather than ploughing more cash into Russia, the company, which remains suspended from trading until it issues an admission document, turned west and decided to target opportunities in the US and by October 31 had agreed a phased investment of up to US$28.2 million to buy 50 leases in the Texas panhandle. The asset set was reckoned to hold remaining recoverable reserves of 10.5 million boe, of which 68 per cent was oil, with the leases home to a well stock of 221 wells and some 379 new well locations. Production across the leases was running at around 60 boepd. The plan here is to use modern low cost drilling and redevelopment techniques to drain extra barrels from these mature fields. Wells are being re-opened and restored to production. The company believes the US conventional onshore oil and gas market represents a “compelling investment opportunity” given the access to low risk production and a stable fiscal and legal regime. An initial investment of US$1.5 million was made, giving Matra 50 per cent of a JV vehicle PG-M International, which holds 480 net acres across the Anadarko Basin where there are 35 existing wells and 20 anticipated new well locations with remaining recoverable reserves of 417,000 boe. Matra agreed to fund the JV's work programme under a promissory note of up to US$16.5 million secured against all the assets of the PG-M JV. The Funding Note carries interest of 6 per cent to be repayable on completion of the Phase 3 Investment. The company, which has now established an office in Houston, announced this week that the second phase investment has now completed. Under the original agreement, Matra was due to pay US$3.85 million and provide funding of up to US$5.35 million under the promissory note to buy 5,759 net acres, 186 existing wells and 89 anticipated new well locations with remaining recoverable reserves of 3.37 million boe. But having discovered some title defects in what CEO Maxim Barskiy called a “minority proportion” of the leases, the amount to pay has been reduced to US$2.26 million in cash and US$3.76 million in funding. Analysts at SP Angel Corporate Finance said the discovery of the title defects was “more than just a little bump in the road” for the company's new strategy. While remaining cautious until more information is forthcoming, the analysts were hopeful for the future. “The management approach is right, but the execution needs perfecting,” said the SP Angel team, adding “More time spent on elucidating the strategy wouldn't go amiss, just so the owners of the company
